Question about Samsung ML 1710 Laser Printer
How do I fix this? Does it need oiling? WD 40? What???
Get some wd-40 spray and target areas where the rollers are turning. Pull the tray out first, then look for those areas. Avoid spraying too much in one area, spray in bursts.

When this happened to me, it was because of a paper misfeed that drew a wad of sheets through the printer and into the fuser. The guides for the fuser roller were damaged, resulting in a clattering of gears. I was not able to obtain a set of replacement plastic roller guides at a reasonable price. I replaced my printer.
