You should try looking for a short, and reseat your connections. Make sure your power supply voltage is set correctly. If that doesn't help, test your power supply and if it fails, replace it.

If that does not help you there's still quite a bit that could be wrong. You could try restarting with only the essential hardware and if it turns on you'll have to check each componant one by one for the cause. Maybe you might need to reseat the CPU. If you still don't find the cause, you may try a POST card. If you don't have a POST card or do not want to buy one you can try swapping parts from an older machine if avaliable and compatible.

If none of the above helps, then I would suggest taking it into a shop. Otherwise your only option is to begin replacing all the parts which can be expensive. I hope this helps and that it turns out to be nothing serious.

Mobo on my rosewill armor mid tower wont function. have repalced mother noard an gpu I do not know what to do it turns on fans spin but no mobo activity

Make sure that your power connectors into the motherboard are all firmly connected. I had the same problem, the solution was that the CPU , 4pin molex connector was disconnected. This connector may initially be 6 or 8 pins but the 4 can be separated from the others. This should solve your issues.

Can you connect the 4pin power supply to the 8pin on board 12v

Yes, you can connect the 4 pin power supply to the 8 pin with little trouble but, you should not try any advanced features like overclocking or crossfire. If you would like to do those things I suggest getting a 4 to 8 pin adapter (very cheap usually less than $5) at most local computer stores.

E Machine ATX 250 -12E replacement PS

With emachine MOBO's you have to make sure you plug in the 20 pin plug from the power supply to the mobo. Also make sure all hard drives, cd/dvd roms, floppy drives, etc are turned on. Make sure the red switch on the PS is set to 115. Make sure the PS is plugged into a known working outlet. Make sure MOBO is properly in place with all grounds/screws in place and nothing metal near or touching board which may short it out.

You can review the E Machines PS replacement guide here for further instruction.

Good Luck,

This could be one of two issues: Your motherboard may be set to shut down when your CPU reaches a low temperature, which can be fixed by getting into your computers' BIOS settings...Or replace your power supply.

PC won't 4power on.

Failures in the motherboard, memory, or any installed card could cause that symptom. All I can suggest based on the above information is remove memory one piece at a time and retest, remove/reseat video card if you have one, and attempt to reset the CMOS using the jumper on the board. You might also try removing the battery on the board and unplugging everything, then attempt to reboot.

Missing -5VDC and -12VDC

Could be.Some do some don't.Some have a circuit breaker. Take the cover off and check. Be careful though as some parts in the power supply can hold a pretty significant charge for quite a while even after the power supply is turned off.If there is no fuse or if you change the fuse and it blows again I would say a new power supply is in order. Good luck.
