Question about Hotpoint NBXR463EBWW Electric Dryer
I've had my hot point dryer for 7 years with no problem...then today after taking one load out and putting another in (small load) the dryer will not start. It makes a sound like it is going to start but the drum does not start moving.
I've checked to make sure it is plugged in and the circuit did not blow (I don't think it would make any sound if this were the case). Lint filter is clean. Any help would be appreciated, I live in an area where there are no GE service people.
Might be the capacitor that starts the motor. if the drum can be push started to get it going this will be the proof. you would need to get a cap. of the same rating.
