Question about LG WM2487H Front Load Washer
I do not know where to start but I am glad I'm not the only person with this problem. I am absolutely sick over my purchase of the LG Tromm in Aug. 08. (Previously we owned Maytag set top loads for 23 years and it is still in use in our kennel for washing dog towels). I go way out on a limb and pay over $2,000 for this new LG Tromm Steam set and for the 1st 2 months it was great. Then I started noticing that smell which was absolutely horrible especially in my towels right after they finished washing. (I don't leave my laundry, when it finishes I remove it). That smell is like what comes from a sewer, in fact it smells like sewer gas. In my freshly washed clothes, I noticed colognes and perfumes didn't wash out. I had a pair of brown slacks that had been worn only once and after washing they had oil or grease spots that I have no idea where it came from. Now I'm having a wobbling in my tub that I can't get to stop. It has been going on for 2 months now. I thought it was out of balance and attempted to set it while spinning as the manual says, but my level says it's dead level. I don't know what to do other than attempt to get Sears to take it back. I've had it 5 months so I don't think they will take it back. I have read my manual from front to back and several times and have done what the manual tells you to do. I've cleaned this machine with the bleach, draining the drain hoses, leaving the door open, used the HE detergents and the exact amount they say to use, etc. I've adjusted this with the wrench provided while spinning to correct the out of balance or wobble. I still have the wobbling tub, the stinch in all my clothes, and another problem developing is where you load your detergent, it always is half full of water after the load finishes. Now I'm having to empty the detergent tray before I can put more detergent in for another wash. I am just sick over this purchase. I am sick that Consumer Products rated this machine #1 the last two years. We rely on Consumer Reports for their product rating and I think they should write an apology to their consumers for reading their garbage. With all the extra maintainence, extra cleaning time, etc. how can this product be more efficient and cost less? If anyone knows something to do please tell me at AnnieOakley19594@yahoo.com, please! I'm wondering what everyone else plans to do with this issue.

I have the same machine and wonder if your machine is level front to back, not just side to side. Ours in in a porch and there are no level floors anywhere in this old house! If the machine is tilted just a little toward the door side the soap would not be level in the dispenser and there would be residue in some nooks and crannies that would otherwise spin clean. If it is possible, check with a level front to back and see what your can do to level it. We had an extra layer of plywood screwed onto this porch floor to help keep it steady, it takes off like a 747 in the spin cycle. Now they admit it should be on a concrete floor not a wood one, but we can't do that in our house. best of luck.
