I have a Lincoln 175+ and when you puch the trigger the wire only comes out about a 1/4 inch at a time, and the feeder wheel only turns that much also. What can I do to fix it?

Make sure that your feed wheel is the correct gruve for the wire size you are using, also loosen up on the tention wing nut to where it just has enough tention to feed the wire without making groves on the sides of it. The gruves cause a mis-shaped wire to try to go thru a round hole. (Quare peg in a round hole if you will)

I have lincoln 125 mig welder that seems to want to skip while you are welding I have tried turning up amps, but it still skips. it welds good when it is working but then jumps when the wire does not arc....

Re-adjust your tention wing nut, or make sure you have the correct groove on the feed wheel for the size wire you are using. also, if you are using an extention cord that is to small or to long it will cause it to skip.

Wire feed problems with transmig 200, feed motor ok and liner ok

Check you have the correct WFR installed and the right contact tip. re set the tensioner, do this by releasing all the tention from the wire untill the drive moves but does not until the wire starts feeding, on a piece of wood, run the wire and this should be a nice feed without faultering, apply a little more tention if required, by stopping the wire by hand, the rollers should move without the wire tangleing up.

The most likely cause of a burned up motor is jammed up wire or wire tention too tight. You can find the rectifier in the manual that came with it. If the rectifier is bad a simple test (fluke meter)would tell .

SP-250 power supply problem

When you pull the trigger the wire should feed imediately, if it dosn't then this will give you the problem. first check the clutch on the wire spool, this is in the centre post that the spool goes on the nut/screw should allow the wire spool to turn easly without tention,
if the spool runs on adjust the cluch. Check the shaft that the rollers are atached they should be held with key-way to stop them slipping, re-adjust the WFS ensure the wire feeds fast or slow as you rotate the WFS control and ensure the wire feeds instantly, lastly make shore the rollers are correct: the right size

Renegase 180

This fault is typical in most MIG/MAG Units. the feed roller/s need slackening off, pull the trigger so the rollers spin wire the wire not moving, turn the tensioning 1 turn check to see if the wire feeds, if not give a half turn on the tentioner repeat this half turn untill the wire feeds, bend the wire to the torch and pull the trigger, If the wire feeds then thats the correct setting. be awear of all safety rules. use gloves
