Question about Epson Stylus NX400 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

It works, just doesn't on my computer.

I don't know if i'm missing a cord that they never gave me or something...but i've got a USB cord like it says on the direction and it isnt plugging in. I loaded the CD, and it says theres an 'error' so like... what do i do?
I'd appreciate the help i need to print out a report by tomorrow, thank you so much.

I've got a MAC and my printer is the all in one Epson Stylus NX400.

I'm trying to connect it to my computer.
On my computer it said there wasn't a printer that was discoverable. So i put in the printer's disk into my Mac. When I try to pull the epson settings up it says 'error'. When i try adding a new printer it says i need the internet address or the DNS. I have no clue what a DNS i could enter is, so i tried the IP address, which when i pull that up on my computer it says IPv4 address. So how the heck do i get this thing to work correctly? Thanks for helping

The flat side of the cord goes into your computer, the squarish side of the cord should go to your printer. Aside from thaty, you also have a power cord that should go to your wall power. Once you have plugged everything in and turned on your printer, install the CD and you should not have any error after that.

Cannot get my Lexmark Z2420 printer working--it has the wi-fi capability, but trying to connect it via USB. Should be plug-and-play but windows makes a sound like it recognizes it, but nothing comes up as...

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.

If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.

2. Rebrick (pull out power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds).

2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.

3. Delete the Lexmark print object.

4. Reboot your pc.

5. When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.

6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, then try to print again.

You may also try to update your printer driver by visiting the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/9xPHL4. Select your operating system, download and execute the file.

USB Cord...Firewire?

Hi
as far as I know there is only one USB cord for the printers you not go far wrong just go buy one in the shop he will know what you need it cost about £2 or little more.
All you need to ask them in the shop is you want a USB cord go from your printer to the PC.

If unplugging the USB cord and powering down both the computer and printer didn't work, try removing all the ink cartridges from the printer, power it down again. When you power back up, wait for the message that tells you cartridge error or something about missing or empty cartridges, you'll understand once you try this. Then put the ink cartridges (black and all!) back into the printer, close the cover and let the printer prep itself. this worked for me!
