SOURCE: I dropped my olympus 540 zoom camera and lens cover is jammed

The problem you are describing is a problem with a sensor in the lens assembly of the camera. It seems to have failed and needs to be replaced. Following are the instructions to send your camera to Olympus for service.

http://olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_servicerepair.asp

Olympus will charge a flat rate repair fee for this product if beyond the one year factory warranty or the warranty is voided. The cost is $73 plus your local sales tax. This covers parts and labor, factory cleaning and diagnostic check, 6 month warranty and the cost of shipping the product back to you is all included in that price.

After a drop lens is not closing properly, photos are dim

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...

Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try:

Dropped camera!

Electronics goods are only for safe use. Not for droping, if it happens then go to purchase new one.
If it was in India, there was an option for repairing. Otherwise through it away.

I droped my camera and when i turn it on it says lens error cause the lense is stuck and wont go in or out more

The one thing these cameras cannot stand is being dropped. They are very fragile, and it is rare indeed to find a repair station to fix them. I have a box full of dropped camera here, and I only use them for spare parts. Sorry about this, I understand your disappointment
