F1 1. Watchdog on board
2. Touch membrane defective To determine which component is at fault, disconnect ribbon strip. Have u looked up the error codes online to find out what F3 is? Could be your thermal regulater, a cheap and really easy novice fix.

I have a magic chef range. I ran the self cleaning on the range. Now when trying to use the oven I get a F1 and a F3 code. I unplugged it for a while to reset and still have the same problem.
F1 Defective touch pad or clock (ERC) Replace touch pad or clock (ERC). Touch pad is a more common problem. Refer to F1 test at the top of this page for more information. F3 or F4 Shorted or open oven temperature sensor (RTD) Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.

The F3 fault code description is a shorted or open oven temperature sensor (RTD). Please check the sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.

My Magic Chef gas oven is flashing F3 and beeping. The model # is CGR3740ADW. I think that means a bad sensor, but how do I figure out which sensor and how to replace it? If I had some diagrams or...
There is only one sensor. Look inside the oven on the top right or left rear. The sensor is about 3 inches long,metal and about the size of a thin pencil. It will be held in by one or 2 screws. Unplug the range. Remove the sensor and disconnect the wires. Use a volt meter set for ohms. It should read 1100 ohms plus or minus 50 ohms. If it reads more or less replace it.
If you have no meter just replace the sensor. It is bad if the control says it is bad.

Whe i set the oven to 350 it has an F3 and wont light. This is a magic chef gas pioltless stove
