Question about Epson Stylus C86 InkJet Printer
I was printing on my MAC 10.1.1 yesterday with my Epson print that is maybe 3 or 5 years old, but not a lot more than that. Finally my printer ink leaked out onto the floor. Now my printer isn't lighting up.
Please confirm that your printer is a C86. Where did the leak come from? If you are not sure, place a thick wad of newspaper or other absorbent material on the floor and put your printer on it. Tip the printer on its back. Does ink now start to come out from the long joint along the back. If LOTS of ink comes out, it means your waste ink compartment is flooded, and I suspect ink has got into your power supply and shorted something. Please report back; the situation sounds bad, but might be retrievable.
