Further help so do you think it's the solenoid? What is allowing the water to keep running?

Thanks Mr.Scary! You are awesome! My local place was going to charge me $69.95 just to come to my house and diagnose my washing machine's problem. With your help I was able to crack my machine open and order the part for a fraction of the cost. :)

Inside the Valve that I told you about earlier, Is an Electronic Closer for the Valve. This Probably Shorted with the Pipe Burst Prob. It was the Prob on Mine a Couple of Years Back when I had the SAME Problem as you.

Cold water won't stop before rinse cycle

if it fails to stop running only at the rinse part of the cycle it is probably in the timer as the solenoid valve has to cut the water off when the washer fills for the wash cycle too. fills for wash cycle and cuts off water, washes and drains, refills for rinse cycle and water just keeps running? does this every time you run it? that's in the timer. bad solenoid (water inlet valve) would keep running even on wash fill up. hope this helps.

Can i clean a solanoid on a front loader washer?

It depends on what you mean. If you are talking about the solenoid that allows water to flow from your water faucet through the hose to fill the machine, there is not much to clean. Are you thinking that hard water is keeping it from working? This type of solenoid is usually cheap enough that if you have a problem it should just be replaced.

Washing machine seems to have a water block

Sounds like a solenoid valve fault. Does it start turning and act like it's washing even though there's no water inside? If so check pressure chamber and switch

Asko w6041 wont stop dispencing water

Hi

Your problem is most likely the fill solenoids.
Often, grit, sand and other 'stuff' in your water supply will cause the solenoids to stick open.
To repair, pull the washer away from the wall, so you can access the area where your water hoses attach to the washing machine. Turn the water off.
Disconnect the water hoses, allowing them to drain into a bucker. Identify the screws that go from the back of the washer into the item that the hoses attach to. Remove those screws and disconnect the hose(s) that go into the body of the washer. Remove the solenoid unit. Purchase a new solenoid.
Reverse the removal procedure.

Water keeps filling and overflows never starts ccle

have you checked the pressure switch its what tells the machine theres enough water inside also theres a small tube that connects the pressure switch to the tub if this comes loose then you would have no pressure and the water would also keep running the two pieces im talking about are part number 10 and 811 in this schematic you would have to follow to where 811 plugs into on the oppisite side and the way to test if the pressure switch is good is remove the hose and the switch and blow air into the switch you should hear a sound like a slight crinkling of a can if you do then its good if you have any further questions message me back and please rememeber to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to help others in the future Thanks Rick

The tub keeps filling with water. I must run drain/spin constantly to keep the water from coming out.

Hi There,

Either the hot or cold (or both) water inlet valves has failed and is locked open. Keep running the drain/spin as you are doing and shut off the water supply from the machine. After you have shut off the water supply and the machine has fully drained, switch the power OFF as well. There will be service valves for shutting off the water supply at the ends of the hoses connected to the back of the washing machine. Hopefully, whoever installed it hasn't located the valves behind the machine or you will need to pull the machine out to turn the water supply off - I've seen this done far too many times and it's not clever. The machine will then need to be inspected and will probably need to have at least one solenoid replaced.

Please post back if you need further assistance.

Regards,
BElectric

I have a Zanussi washer dryer which suddenly stopped tumble drying. It is showing code E10, which the manual says is blocked inlet hose. I don't think this can be right, as the wash cycle is working...

it could be the cold water solenoid not allowing much nedded water into the condensor unit... i would check both the hot and cold water feed if both ok and allowing free flow of water into the system have somebody check the poer to both the solenoids if they working ok and allowing water in then check the water pipe from the solenoid going to the condensor which should sit at the backof the machine if this is blocked ornot allowing water to the condenser unit for what ever reason than that could cause the error...i ope thiss is off help kv

Maytag MAH8700AWW water keeps running

Check the solenoids at the water inlet valve. Use a multimeter or ohmmeter and check the solenoids for continuity. A lack of continuity means a bad solenoid and the water inlet valve assy will need to be replaced. I will attach a photo for reference. Another possible cause would be a water level switch, but not with it running on only the cold water side. Hope this helps and best wishes.
