Insert the printer software to the cd drive and the software will detect your printer connecting to your pc and it will ask you to start installing the software. Just click the icon install and it will run the installation. Note that if you are using parallel port and directly attached to your computer, you can immediately print after the installation is finish. But if you are using USB port, sometimes it require USB driver before the printer is working (there will be a message saying printer not detected). For network printer set up. you need the same installtion plus need to configure the printer network setting before printing.
Go to the Wbsite where your Printers Manufacturer and download and install the drivers for it. Follow the instructions on how to install the drivers. Some Driver rrquire that the Printer NOT be connected and some need to be when installing th edrivers. Hope this helps
