I don't know if the smaller ones like what you have operate the same as my 2 watt motorolas but I have a sub frequency on top of the channel. Check into that.

My rear speakers won't work in my 2001 Malibu. Stock system and wires to speaker okay. fader set Correct. Could it be speakers are junk?

Get a known good speaker an hook it up in place of the old ones an see if it works , if it does the old one is no good . Now if it doesn't work the radio isn't set correctly or that channel of the radio is blown .

I have two T5510 Motorola. Walkie talkies and when

Good job describing. The channel is the channel number, the upper right is the "tone". If everything matches, they should talk to each other. Try pressing the squelch button on each to make certain the speakers work. It is also possible the mic openings are clogged with debris or the audio jacks have something in them. If the audio jack has a broken pin or even debris in it, it is possible the speaker will remain muted. If you are using audio accessories, unplug them and turn the radio off/on. Do you have a tone on power up? Other than that, how old are they? Do you know the history? If they got wet, corrosion likely set in and you need new radios. Yes, I know some say waterproof, they mean resistant.

Toyota Corolla 1997 I've installed kickers in the rear (KS series to match the front)... had those going for a couple of weeks with no problems. Yesterday i went to install the KS400 series in the...

take one of the front speakers out and pull out the head unit and unplug a set of audio wires(front right, front left ect.) and hook it up directly from the radio to the speaker there for bypassing all the cars wires. If it works then there's a problem with the car's wiring(maybe an inline amp). If it doesn't work, then try a known good speaker from somewhere else(home stereo speaker for example) and connect it to the radio, if the speaker works, your radio is fine and there may be a problem with the speakers. If it doesn't work then you have a problem with the head unit.

Hi, I have a 3 year old Onkyo TX-SR506 receiver that I bought secondhand. The receiver can get very dusty so I was cleaning the top with a damp cloth while listening to music. Suddenly the music stopped...

I don't think its a harmless coincidence that it happened while you were touching it.

Assuming 'damp' means 'no dripping' I'd discount mositure as the cause. Was there something else you may have touched or caused to move during your actions, like speaker wires? Retrace your steps (with power off) and imagine what may have moved.

Disconnect the speaker wires at the receiver and see if that helps. If so, you just need to start adding speakers until it fails again or not, then isolate the cause if it is related to specific channel(s). If it doesn't come up 'naked' something cooked inside and a hands-on tech needs to get involved.

In the future - turn it off when manilpulating anything on, near or attached to it.

I had the same problem. Take your radio to the professional service. One was ok, but the second has problem with frequency keeping. They shown it on a scanner. The second problem was settings. The output power was set 25 mW, and the band was set wrong to the long range communication. Only professional service can fix it.
