SOURCE: My xbox 360 works fine playing the games that are demos

there might be a short.
other then that i might just think that your power adapter is failing and you need another one.

SOURCE: As playing Xbox 360 system shuts off two red lights occurs.

2 red lights is overheating you can try and leave the console alone and see if that cools it down, sometimes this will work.If it does not you will need to get it fixed and to do this you should use a good Xbox 360 Repair guide or send it in.

XBOX shuts down completely and the red light AC adapter comes on and the adapter is really hot

The red light is the power bricks indicator of over heating. Its best to unplug it and leave it sit for a few hours, and once its completely cooled down try plugging it in again.

My Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter stopped working.

Shut off your console and unplug everything.

Connect the adapter then connect the console back together...Turn on console......Go to network configuration...Make sure u are connecting the adapter from the back!

If you are not able to achieve a connection for several attempts this means your should check warranty status for the adapter also.........If you unplugged it while the console was one you could of shocked the cable an blew the fuse.......Normally when u detach any components with a usb port u should alway make sure every thing is shut off before so.

The ac adaptor light is permanently red

Hook up the ac adaptor and make sure the other end is not plugged into the xbox 360. if its still red then your ac adaptor is bad. If its still green then plug the other end into the 360 and if it turns red then that means the mainboard inside the 360 is bad.

MY SON'S XBOX 360 KEEPS SHUTTING OFF AFTER PLAYING FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES. IT HAS THE FAN ATTACHED TO KEEP IT COOL, BUT IT STILL SHUTS OFF.

How many red lights do you see when the console shuts down? if its 2 red lights that means the console is overheating. there's no way to fix it but to send it in for repair

XBOX360

Hey 2hitz,

According to information provided by the manufacturer, when the power supply light is red this can typically mean that the XBox 360's external power supply (AC adaptor) has encountered a problem and may need to be repaired or replaced. Most problems encountered are typically limited to an issue where the system has overheated or there is too much voltage/electrical current for the power supply to handle.

I'd first suggest checking to see if the AC adaptor is properly connected to your XBox 360 or is warm to the touch. If the adaptor is hot, you may wish to unplug the adaptor for several hours to cool before reconnecting it to your XBox 360. Even if it is fairly cool, you may still want to see if disconnecting and reconnecting the adaptor resolves the issue. If the power light changes from red to an orange hue once you do, this can mean that the power supply may not have been securely attached and the unit is now in standby mode.

Next, if you have access to a second power adaptor, you may want to see if switching adaptors resolves the issue instead. If the XBox 360 goes into standby mode with a different adaptor plugged in but not the original, then the original adaptor may be defective and be in need of replacement.

Please keep in mind however, that if the lights around the power indicator light are also flashing red this may be a sign of an entirely different hardware problem. If you are seeing any of the lights in the outer ring light up, you may want to take note of which ones (and how many) are lighting up at any given time. Typically one flashing red light in the outer ring may indicate a hard drive problem, two red lights may indicate the XBox 360 itself has overheated, three red lights mean that the unit requires service/repairs, and four red lights mean that your audio-video (AV) cable isn't securely connected.

If you're still not quite sure how to proceed, you can always visit Microsoft's knowledge base website for more information and suggestions by using the link I've provided below:

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

Xbox 360 power off

Check the power brick. When the 360 is on, the light should be green, otherwise it is broken.
