SOURCE: my mighty mule gate opener

In order to provide a solution to the problem, we need to know what it's doing. Does it start opening? Not open at all? Act like the battery is low.... I have one of these and it hasn't been non-problematic..

SOURCE: my mighty mule gate opener

Condensation inside the arm shorts the limit switch in the rev counter board in cool damp weather.
Open the arm, dry the board and mop up the condensation inside the casing.
The solder contacts to the limit microswitch will corrode over time, and the board will eventually need to be replaced. Part RVCTBD50-E or similar.

There are limit switches that set the open and closed position and also a sensor for obstructions. Check those items for shorts and proper connection

Inspiron 531s will not boot up, keeps beeping, saying it is in power save mode. How do I fix the problem

System Beep Codes The Inspiron™ 531 / 531s system can emit a series of beeps during start-up if the display cannot show errors or problems. These series of beeps, called beep codes, identify various problems. One possible beep code consists of repetitive three short beeps. This beep code indicates the computer encountered a possible system board failure.
The series of beeps has a 3-second delay before it repeats. The series and delays continually loop until you press the power button.
Code Description Suggested Remedy 1 BIOS ROM checksum in progress or failure System board failure; covers BIOS corruption or ROM error 2 No memory modules detected
  1. If you have two or more memory modules installed, remove the modules, reinstall one module, and then restart the computer. If the computer starts normally, reinstall an additional module. Continue until you have identified a faulty module or reinstalled all modules without error.
  2. If available, install a good memory module of the same type into the computer.
  3. If the problem persists, contact Dell.
3 Chipset error (North and Southbridge chipset, DMA/IMR/Timer Error for Intel® platform); chipset error System board failure. Power LED is blinking amber. Time-Of-Day Clock test failure Gate A20 failure Super I/O chip failure Keyboard controller test failure 4 RAM read/write failure
  1. Ensure no special memory module/memory connector placement requirements exist.
  2. Verify the memory modules you are installing are compatible with the computer.
  3. If the problem persists, contact Dell.
5 Real time clock failure. Possible battery failure or system board failure.
  1. Replace the battery.
  2. If the problem persists, contact Dell.
6 Video BIOS test failure Video card failure 7 CPU cache test failure Processor failure

Does anyone repair pc boards for the Mighty mule gate openers?

Hello, im sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your gate opener. but it depends, on if your opener is still under warrenty and how the board got damaged, GTO "which is the manufacturer of mighty mule" is very picky about returning goods, so you MIGHT be able to get it replaced, but just getting it repaired is out of the question because of the components being heat sensitive and having software in the board, if you have more questions please email me a jasonruis123@yahoo.com

Check the STALL FORCE setting on BOTH openers, check for gate obstructions broken gate hardware. OR your limit settings have been erased, but if none are the problem that you have a broken REV COUNTER which is inside the arm
