SOURCE: oil drain plug

Drain plug is not necessary. Remove the dipstick and tip the mower to the side the dipstick is on and use the dipstick tube as a drain.

SOURCE: Honda lawn mower, self propelled mechanism not working

check the mechanism first before changing the gearbox its possible that the cable might jump out from the pulley or the cable is worn out or its possible that the gear on the tire is worn out to if not then that would be the time for you to change the gear box it would be hard to change it if you don't have the right tools to work on it if you know how everything work its not that hard to replace it just make sure were everything goes memorize the parts before disassembling cause that would be you guide to reassemble it...goodluck

SOURCE: oil change in yard man lawn mower

Some mowers are designed to drain oil out of the dipstick tube. remove dipstick and tilt the mower to allow oil to run out into a drain pan. 2/3 rds of a quart or 20 oz is what to expect.

I have a huskee lawn mower and is not reving high enough to cut with out stalling

First check the air filter, it should be new every year (season). Drain the oil and ensure you are putting in the correct amount, (most lawn mowers hold 2/3 qt. Make sure the gas is fresh and the spark plug replaced. Lastly with the spark plug removed squeeze the handle/lever as you would to start/stop the engine. Have a helper turn the engine over by the blade, if the engine turns over freely good, if there is a drag or it's stiff it could be the engine brake around the flywheel is mal-adjusted

How to change the oil in my troy built pont where is the drain plug

Not sure what a pont is, or what motor you have, but on some of the Troy built small engines from Honda the geniuses designed the motor with no drain plug. You have to tilt or flip the engine over to drain oil out the filler

I have a troybuilt push lawnmower with a honda motor, I was wondering where the oil plug was where I can drain the oil.

It is under the mower, you will need a 3/8 ratchet and extension to take it out...make sure NOT to tip the mower over, you will have to raise it, but make sure the spark plug end stays up!!!

Oil drain plug

may be under the blade plate under the mower, usually a plug with a quarter inch square drive, you can use a ratchet to loosen it if it is quarter drive, maybe a half inch drive
