The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Infinity Subwoofer input signal mystery

Have you tried changing the connector leads? They can become faulty. Powered Subwoofers generally work off one connector from the amp. The Sub is a mono amp basaically. So all it needs is the main imput and an earth. One possibilty is that you have the wrong jack plug. Say a stereo instead of a mono, or the wrong size one!

VR3 200 AMP

Looking at this picture you can see the terminals at the top.
This installation has one speaker hooked up on the right, and the power inputs hooked up on the left.
The inputs will be power on the left, 12 volts positive (V+); a signal wire for to power on the amp that's 12 volts positive too, (V+, It's usually a yellow wire that comes out of the car stereo called To Antenna, or To Amp. and the third connector on the left is a Ground, or 12 volts Negative (12-). Look for the labels V+ and V- to get the power connectors in the right places. (I can't tell from the picture which is which)
On the left side is the Speakers, Each speaker has a positive and negative lead, and the terminals on the amp are labeled Left + and Left - and Right + and Right - .
Align the speaker leads to the terminals (in cars a negative lead usually has a stripe running along the length of it, and a positive has no stripe).

On the other side of the amp are RCA sockets, one red one white. Any low signal can plug into these, from an Ipod to a turntable. Your car stereo, or EQ, will have RCA outputs that can connect to these with an RCA Patch cord, which has plugs on both ends that will fit into the RCA sockets. Whatever signal goes into the RCA inputs is amplified out of the speakers when it works.

Where do I find a 6 pin serial to usb adapter for the Garmin 421s? I can't find one anywhere on line. Does Garmin sell one? It's Saturday and Garmin's help center is closed. Their on line...

Hello,

The 6 pin DIN plug found on the GPSMAP 421s data/power cable (Garmin part number 010-10918-00) is used for the sonar input.

Data transfer from the GPSMAP 421s is easily transferred by memory card.
Information about data transfer on the 421s is at about 50 seconds into this video.
http://www.youtube.com/gpscity#p/search/6/8ddIgvCAUmI

Real time NMEA data can be transferred using Garmin part number 010-10918-00 wired to a DB-9 serial connector (Instructions are on the cable).

It then can be adapted to USB using a serial to USB adapter.

Bought a 2011 Outlander 3 weeks ago. Thought it had the USB port but it doesn't. It does have the RCA connector, red and white. I have the IPhone 3. How do I hook it up to utilize my music??

Here's AUX cables for iPhones.

http://www.alibaba.com/showroom/3.5mm-usb-cable.html

By "RCA connector", I'm assuming that you mean the vehicle has an AUX input. Most AUX inputs are 3.5mm. If the Outlander actually uses a pair of RCA inputs, you will also need a cable with RCA plugs on one end and RCA plugs on the other.

I just got this camera and I can't figure out how to attach the included usb cable to the camera. Do I just put in in the AV/Out slot, or does this somehow open up to a slot that is a precise fit?

The USB cable goes into the connector inside the A/V OUT cover on the bottom of the camera.

You might want to NOT use the USB connection.

Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.

I get no sound at all when I plug in to the input and its not my lead or guitar, how can I fix the amp?

This is probably not a DIY repair. You best take it to a repair shop. Likely the power amp has failed or other common problems are broken connectors/jacks, broken volume pots, and finally circuit board cracks.

Trying to figure out how to connect VCR to laptop ie cables etc Want to transfer tapes to DVD

This will depend on what the connections are on the laptop. All you need is a video in and two audio (left & right) in connectors. If these are 3.5mm jacks sockets on the laptop. Then all you need is convertor cables. It will be easy if the VCR has a scart socket. As you can get a scart plug that has RCA plugs on the other end for audio and video out. All you need then is 3.5mm to female RCA plug lead(s) or if you can only get them with male RCA plugs, 3 inline connectors.
You can also get a USB to RCA plugs. See image below.
images below as well: of 3.5mm cable with RCA (male) and the female version and couplers for the males, plus the scart lead (yellow RCA is video) (all cables can be get from Amazon)

I change Component Cable Video & Audio 6 cables

I might sound stupid but Double check that you`ve connected the correct connectors as in All Inputs plugs being used or All outputs plugs being used. If you have one of these leads with 6 connectors on one lead, (Audio Input L+R, Video Input, Audio Output L+R, Video Output) You need to make sure that if you get sound from the audio input plugs, then you must use the video input plug and vice verse. Battery for pyramid 105 amp

There are many many possible batteries you can use for this application, from lead acid to Lithium polymer. You will need to determine what type of power connector that will fit your unit's jack then make sure the polarity is correct. You can then wire connector
accordingly to battery you select. Make sure battery exceeds current requirements but voltage. If unit has internal charger, make sure the battery you choose is compatible or use dedicated charger
