the 1570 (AKA 15z) is the latest revision of Dell's Inspiron 15 series system. I'd get the SU7300 Penryn processor (It is worth the $65 upgrade) 4GB RAM ($80 Upgrade and 250 GB HDD ($25 upgrade) Putting the base price up to $819 Last but not least, is the service options, the $819 price has a 1 year return to the service Depot warranty. Recommend spending $249 for the 2 yr on site service with accidental damage coverage for a total of $1068 + tax not a bad deal
The 15z has Intel Integrated Graphics which is not the best for gaming but as a general all around computer it is a good solution.

It could be the battery is already degraded. If the battery is more than 2 yrs. old you could check the battery health meter and see if you need to replace it. Hope this helps
