Re: Remote keep saying remote 2 and nothing is not...
Sounds like someone may have set the main unit to remote code 2. You will have to set the remote to code 2 as well in order for it to work. Don't know the exact procedure, but should be in the owners manual

Murphy's law says that the tv only does what it is told. No flashes on it's own? Check the remote battery's first easiest. Then open the remote to see if these is dirt or dust in the keypad. If some liquid got in there clean with solvent on a rag. Don't put the solvent on anything else. Wipe off the sending unit on the front of the remote with damp rag. If this does nothing then blame the tv or get another remote to try out.
1. Remove batteries from remote to "zero" it, then reinsert batteries 2. Turn on TV (RCA?) 3. Press and hold CODE SEARCH button until indicator lights 4. Press and release TV button. Indicator will blink and remain on 5. Enter code from list in instructions 6. Point remote at TV and press on-off button. TV should turn off 7. Use remote to turn TV on again and press CH+. If TV responds you're all set; if not, repeat the process with the next code
what exactly does it say? that sounds like more of a tv setting...changing from 1080p to 720p or trying to play a blue ray in s standard player. Hmm..you need the programming codes for your remote. keep googling them...try these 1st... intertek is same as GPX i believe

DISH here, hi Tom! I ran across your post and would like to help with the solution. First we need to make sure the receiver is on Dual Mode. On the front of the receiver under Mode' make sure the light is on Dual also make sure the remote that's not currently working is on SAT mode. You can check this by trying to change channels using the remote and making sure the SAT button is the only that light up at the top. If both of this procedures do not work, we will need to address the remote to the receiver. To address the remote to the receiver: bring the remote to the t.v one localtion which is where the receiver itself is, by using remote number on press menu twice, a screen called System Info should appear on the screen. Once you have accessed the System Info screen, toward the bottom of the screen there should be something that says Remote address one and two and each will have a white box next to them with a number in it. Then grab the remote that's not working and press and hold the SAT button until all the light at the top light up, release the button and enter the the number 15 followed by the pound key (15#) after this press the record button 3 times. Verify that the number that was in Secondary Remote Address is now showing 15. Now, using remote one select cancel out of the System Info screen. If you have any issues please feel free to email me at email@example.com
Here's what to do. I've had this happen many times.
1. Open up the SD Card compartment on the Wii.
2. Open up the battery cover on the remotes.
3. Press the red Sync button on the Wii, and then on one of the remotes.
4. Repeat for whatever remotes need synced.
This will make every remote act like the P1 remote. For temporary syncing, just go into the Home Menu and click Wii Remote Settings. Click on another option(it'll say to press 1 and 2) and follow the instructions.
Panasonic website under FAQs. Using code shown on dvd readout,
such as RC2, press 2 & enter or ok, hold for 2 seconds, and machine
will reset connection between remote & dvd recorder. So stupidly simple it works.
It sounds like the remote lost its function, you need to program it again, try this. Please press SAT at the top left of your remote for 5 seconds and then press RECORD three times. IF that does not work, access the system info from the TV1, location, readress that remote.
To readress that remote, try this. With the remote that is not working, please press and hold the SAT button.Once all the buttons light up, let go, and then press 9, then # (below 9).Press RECORD twice. Did the Remote Address change on the system info screen? If so, you are set!
you have to go in to the proramming mode of the remote to change this feature. you can access this by holding all 4 buttons on the remote at the same time. (or if you have the P button on the back you can hold it down by itself) you will hear 2 long beeps confirming the programming mode. at this time, you can change the settings by pressing 1 of the 4 buttons., each button will change a different function.
in no order------
1. Beep/vibrate or both
2. page or not to page
4. hood, truck, or both
the remote will give 2 long beeps when it exits the programming
Well, pressing 1 and 2 doesn't work if your Wii remote came desynched. Press the Red Synch buttons on both the Wii console (located under the SD card flap) and the one on the back of the Wii remote, and hold one then the other for about 5 seconds. Should help.
