Question about Arrow 8000 Power Shot Pro Staple & Nail Gun

Open Question

Fix Powershot PRO stapler

When I was stapling, I turned the unit upside down (to reach a low place) and since then, it won't engage or staple. There are no staples jammed; the handle moves freely and doesn't "click". I bought a new one, did the same thing and had to take it back. Before I throw out an otherwise good unit, is there any way to fix it?

SOURCE: staples are stuck inside the stapler and will not come out

Typically you do not open these up.
Makes it difficult to remove stuck or wrong staples.
I have had good luck removing the staple ram rod and rapping firmly on the **** of the stapler against a wooden table. The idea is jolting the stuck staples into reverse out the way they went in. Tedious process but usually works. Removing the jammed staples in the nose at the striker plate requires using needle nose pliers and a sharp awl or small screw driver used on very small screws.
My T50 Arrow stapler is over 20 years old.
Still works great. Sometimes I slide in the wrong size staples by mistake. The process above usually works.
Good luck!

SOURCE: how to remove jammed staples in staple gun?

Take out the small bolt that is secured with a nut at the back of the gun (at the end where you feed the staples) -- then drop the inset. Now you have access to the jammed area. Clear out jammed staples and put the stapler back together. Easiest way is to hold the nut and turn the bolt from the other side.

Why won't Easy Shot staples advance/shoot?

Hi Elaine, The EasyShot stapler is a bottom load stapler. Please follow the steps below to make sure you are loading the staples correctly.

- Turn the tool upside down so that you can read the text "use light duty narrow crown" on the bottom of the magazine

- Open the magazine of the tool

- Place the staples inside the channel (not on the back of the magazine rail)

- Close the magazine.

Attached is a picture so you can see where to place the staples.

If you are still having trouble please contact our customer service department and we can assist you further.

Paper pro one finger stapler

Chesspro5000 is right. You must open the stapler, pull out the slide, but instead of loading the staples directly on to the slide, you want to turn the stapler upside down and place the staples, face up, directly into the front of the stapler. Then, when you push the slide back in, it will glide directly across the staples and properly attach, rather than having to manually having to attach the staples to the slide yourself. Then close it back up and you should be good to go!!
Good luck!!

Loading staples

Powershot Pro (Model 8000) Loading staples is pretty much what you would guess,
EXCEPT that releasing the catch takes a very strong pull, or it won't budge at all. Grasp the black plastic catch at the rear of the stapler base, pull very hard (probably 5lbs or more) and the catch will move about 1/4" away from the stapler ("down" if you think of the stapler in its usual orientation.) You can then slide the catch and the spring mechanism "backwards" leaving room to insert staples or brads. (Note, "T-50" staples and brads should fit. If loading brads, they go along the side of the magazine which is closest to the "staples remaining" window.)

Someone loaded regular staples into our Swingline 45 Optima now it will not work when loaded with the correct staples.

Using the wrong or style ofstaples, overfilling the machine and stapling through too-thick materials can causeOptima to jam. Now follow these steps: 1. Holdthe base down as you lift the top of the Optima stapler to access the stapletray. 2. Removeall the staples from the tray so that you have access to the jammed staple. 3. Turnthe stapler upside down and shake it to clear out staples you can't reach withyour fingers. 4. Gripthe jammed staple with the needle-nose pliers and, while holding the staplersecurely, pull it up. 5. Twistthe staple until it breaks into two pieces if it will not pull straight out.Pull out the two individual pieces. The Optima stapler line bySwingline is designed to be jam-free when Optima premium jam-free staples areused. Using another , style or brand may cause frequent jamming. Hope thiswill help you. Good Luck.

No instructions came with the stapler and the . I can't get it open to install staples! I need this now. You start a project and can't get what you need! I was expecting more from a product...

Open the PowerShot staple gun staple chamber. This is found on the front of the staple gun. There is a small metal area on the bottom. Pull down on this and the interior of the staple chamber is revealed.
  • Remove any existing staples that may be in the chamber. These can be pried out with your fingernail, or you can turn the staple gun upside down and gently shake the staples loose.
  • Slide a new row of approved staples into the PowerShot staple gun. These need to be slid in from the base of the staple gun (where you pulled the cover of the chamber off).
  • Close the cover to the PowerShot staple gun's staple chamber and you are ready to use your staple gun on the next household project.

Do not know how to put staples in my powershot pro

Howdy, on that model, you withdraw the plunger and turn the stapler upside down and lay the staples on the track (on the botton of stapler, not in the back) with the points facing up. When you replace the plunger, it holds them in place. I really like the reverse stapling action on that model, easier on my wrist. Hope this helps some:)

How do I load this Stanley Staple Shooter Light Duty?

This doesn't load like normal staple guns. Go to the end of the stapler and pull out the locking device with the spring on it. Then turn the staple gun upside down so you're looking at the bottom of the gun. See, there is now a little channel exposed. Drop the staples in this little channel with the points of the staples pointing towards you. Keep the staple gun upside down and reinsert the locking device which will compress the staples. PRESTO! Ready to use.

    Loading staples

First turn the staple gun upside down, like you were going to staple the ceiling. Then grip the 2 black circles and pull out (slightly up helps). Then place the staples upside down in the groove you just uncovered (in the stapler, not the part you pulled out), push that part back in, and you're done!
