Hp pavilion slimline s3600t desktop pc - Wont boot up, flashes to blue screen after hp blue screen and restarts. no option for safe mode either

A Blue Screen is more time than not indicative of a driver issue or some hardware issue. First of all when it boots to the screen that shows Safe Mode and the other options, scroll down and see if there is an option to Stop or Disable Automatic Restart on Boot. This will stop the screen from restarting itself when the blue screen appears and give you a chance to read and see what the error is. Afterwards it is ok to run Startup Repair. Startup Repair does not delete any of your personal files. Let startup repair run and then see if it boots. Once again, startup repair does not delete any of your music, documents, pictures, videos or programs. System Restore does not delete any of you documents, music, pictures, videos or programs. System Recovery WILL DELETE all of your music, pictures, videos, documents & any programs you've added since you brought the computer home from the store. System Recovery sets your computer back to the very first time you turned it on after you purchased it. I would run the startup repair, if that does not fix your problem, see if you can run a System Restore. A lot of time the Restore Points are damaged or missing when this happens, but give it a try and restore to a point before you started having the blue screen issue. If all fails you're going to need a system disc so that you can get into the Recovery Console so that you can enter a dos command in the little black box that opens up with white letters. You want to type: chkdsk /r
Let it run. It will run well over an hour and you will notice the percentage of completion going from high to low, but that's ok. Let it run to completion then try rebooting. If this doesn't work, you're going to need to take it to a repair shop or reload the operating system yourself.

My laptop is on but the screen is blue and won't go to the desktop

A Mac that shows you a blank blue screen instead of logging you in may be afflicted by a malfunctioning startup item. Most people have a number of programs that start up whenever you log into your computer, and it's likely that one of these programs is causing issues. The startup item is unable to load, and so it causes the rest of the computer to hang.
In order to get your Mac past this hanging blue screen, you need to boot into safe mode and figure out which startup item is causing problems. The Apple Support article "I see a blank blue screen when I try to start up my computer" tells you exactly how to go about this procedure. Basically, you must remove all your startup items and add them back in one-by-one, rebooting each time until you find the one that causes the hanging blue screen.

Cannot start in normal mode without blue screen popping up

Duing the startup, can you hit F8 just after the bios shows. You should see a list. If you choose, last known good configuration, what happens? If it blue screen's again, can you startup in safe mode? This is also a item on the list from F8.

Did you install any drivers recently, in the last day or two?

If so, when you boot into safemode, uninstall that driver and try to boot to windows normally.

My thinkpad got stuck up while booting & i am getting blue screen. No further processing.

Is there any error message that you can see? What does it say?Or,is it just a blue screen and you can't see nothing? Blue screen can be caused by any hardware, software, poorly written device drivers recently installed and accidently shutting down of PC. If you can't see anything then take out the battery and press the power button for about 60secs.Startup without the battery first using the adapter and then see.If you still see the same blue screen then try the other options:
I want you to press F8,at startup, to bring up the advanced boot option and select "last known good configuration". Go to the BIOS setting pressing the DEL key at startup and select Load setup defaults [you might find that option in EXIT ]. Try removing any extra hardware attached like scanner, printer, pen drives etc.Later attach them again one by one and switching off and on the PC just to make sure which hardware is gone kaput. If you are able to startup the computer, use the SYSTEM RESTORE function to go back to previous date when your pc was working fine. This is to make sure you don't end up getting a blue screen at startup, again. The last option would be installing Windows OS. You can try and change the RAM sticks,if you have two then remove one n then start,do the same with the other RAM.

Blue Screen of Death during startup

When you get the BSOD - it gives a brief description of what the error is - this should lead you in the proper direction for finding the culprit - is the computer a new configuration - is it an old system that just started doing this? Have you made any change? All these things have to be considered and evaluated.

You should go into the safe mode and try to uninstall or undo the previous work. Else use the system restore. But if it continues again with a blue screen error, then u should format ur pc, further if u experience blue screen error then u should note that one of ur hardware is damaged.

Thankyou...!!!
