Retract bids

If the auction is still going, you can retract your bid here:
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?RetractBidShow

If the auction has ended, and you won, the seller must cancel the transaction for you.

How can someone retract their bid from Ebay?

If it is more than 12 hours to auction go to pages.ebay.com/help/buy/questions/retract-bid.html and scroll to the bottom of page. There is a link to retract bid or retract best offer. If it is less than 12 hours to the auction closing, you are out of luck.

How do I cancel a bid on ebay

There are two ways to cancel bids on eBay. The first is for the seller to cancel a bid made on their auction. The second is for buyers to cancel bids they made on other's auctions. Both come with very specific rules that prohibit any auction misconduct.
Canceling a bid made by someone else.
Review the reasons allowed for canceling a bid. Go to the cancellation page if the bidder is someone whose identity you have not been able to confirm.

You should also access this page if the bidder asks you to cancel the bid, or if the item being auctioned is no longer for sale. Fill out the cancellation form. Give the reason that the bid is being cancelled. Use the cancellation feature sparingly, as the cancellation and your reason for cancelling, will be recorded in the bid history. b> Canceling a bid made on someone else's auction. b> Use the bid retraction form to cancel a bid you have made. Make sure your bid meets the criteria for a retraction. Retract if the bid price you entered was wrong, and then correct the bid amount. Retract your bid if the auction description was changed and you no longer want the item as it is now described. Use the retraction form if you need the reach the seller for some reason and their contact information is invalid. Retract your bid that was made before the final 12 hours of the auction, as the option will not be available after that time. Retract bids made during the last 12 hours, only within an hour of the bid. Use the retraction feature as rarely as possible, as the number of times you have retracted a bid will appear on your feedback numbers. Hope this helps.

I bid for an item on ebay it confirmed i was the high bidder till bidding ended but i didnt win the item i was bidding for why

somebody sniped your bid at the last second most likely unless Ebay took it off the last second. Check your "not won" box on the left of your summary column to check on all bids placed by clicking on the total bids showing that were made

I have a person i want to sell an auction item to early can i do that through my listing and paypal

Yes. if no one has bid yet, raise the starting bid to the agreed upon price. When the cbuyer places that bid, end your auction. In the process of ending, one of the options will be to sell to the current high bidder. Another way is to edit the auction to a Fixed Price auction at the agreed price, and the intended buyer can just buy it outright.

BayGenie eBay Auction Sniper Pro Edition will place bid but confirm bid window comes up when bid placed. This renders bidding when not there a waste of time. How do I overcome this problem?

For some reason, it places your bid from the eBay.uk.co site and if the item is on the US site, a confirm bid page will pop up which you can not see until too late for the auction. No fix as far as I can tell, even with 3.6.0.0. Support for this product is ****, nil, zero.

Want to cancel my bid

Hi,

Please do the following
1 Use the bid retraction form to cancel a bid you have made. Make sure your bid meets the criteria for a retraction. Retract if the bid price you entered was wrong, and then correct the bid amount.

2 Retract your bid if the auction description was changed and you no longer want the item as it is now described. Use the retraction form if you need the reach the seller for some reason and their contact information is invalid

4 Use the retraction feature as rarely as possible, as the number of times you have retracted a bid will appear on your feedback numbers.

I listed a blue vase, I have two low bids right now, my listing was under auction. Now I have buyers who want me to sell them the item under Buy Now, which I did not place a buy now price when I listed. I...

Hi there!

It seems that it's been a month since you sent the email here on Fixya but I will help you on how you can do this on your future listings.
If your item has already bids you can no longer edit or revise but you can end the listing if there are still more than 12 hours left before it ends. you just need to cancel the bids first and end it. then you can relist the item as a fixed price listing depending on the price that the buyers like to pay for it.
the reserve price only works for auction and you need to put it before you list the item.

Here's how you can end your listing early:

1. Go to: http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/end_early.html
2. Click the "End My Listing Early form" link. You may need to sign in.
3. Enter your Item number, and click the "Continue" button.
4. If there were no bids on your item, go to Step 6.

5. If there are bids on your item, choose either "Cancel bids and end listing early" or "Sell item to high bidder(s) and end listing early."
6. Select the reason that you're ending your listing early.
7. Click the "submit" button to end your listing.

Your listing will end and bidders will receive an email explaining that their bid has been canceled.

Hope this helps you on your future listings. Have a great day!

How does a reserve price work? If I outbid everyone and meet the reserve will I pay the reserve price or the higher bid price that I bid. Thanks Eddie

You'll pay a minimum of the Reserve price. You'll only pay more if someone else bids a higher price.

Once an auction goes past the Reserve, it works like any other normal eBay auction. The Reserve is just for the seller to prvent the item going for less than that price.

Hope this helps.

Hoe do I proccess bettings. step by step please

If you're on an "item" page, the page with the picture and description of the thing you're interested in, there should be a "Place Bid" button. Just click that button to start the bidding process. Just keep in mind not everything on eBay is an auction so not all items have that button.
