Question about Dell Inspiron 1501 Notebook
My daughter dropped the laptop and now she can turn it on but the screen does not come on. I hooked it up to a PC monitor and the laptop seems fine. Apart from replacing the display is there other steps to take before going this far.
Yeah look on the keyboard for something that looks like two monitors on the F-key row. It might even say LCD on it. Hold down the Fn key and push the F-key that has the pic.
You should have the other monitor hooked up because what you are changing is the display modes. To switch modes you hold down the Fn key and tap the F-key with the pic. Let me know if anything happens.
