Chirps come from ceiling not unit

Only the smoke detector will chirp. When they begin chirping it means the battery is very low and needs to be replaced. Replace it and you will find the chirping will stop as it will when the battery is totally dead.

My house lost power and when it came back, my phone is now chirping every 15 seconds. I lived hear for 2 years with this phone and always had the ringer set to off. Its never done this before. I do not...

The phone has lost contact with the base phone when the power was disrupted. so the best way to reset is to remove the power from the base phone - remove the adapter, remove the battery from the hand unit . Now reset and connect the power while it must MESH up. If not try to use the intercom call. If the phone does not mesh then there can be error in the base phone.
Please repeat this once again.

Today I get home and my dish dvr has a loud fan sound like a computer fan that wont stop running it doesnt matter if the dvr is on or off

Hello this is Nick Franta with DISH Network.

The DVR fan does typically runs most of the time the receiver is on (or recently turned off). Since the DVR controls the option of stopping live programming and skipping back it is always in use so the fan will continually run. If the sound continues non-stop for the next 48-72 hours we may want to send a replacement receiver for you. You can contact me at [email protected] if it does continue to be troublesome.

Hi - My question is basic - If I have a NTSC DVR can I use an external PAL tuner to enable me to receive and record NTSC and PAL signals?

There should be an output option that you change to NTSC (on your external tuner), Dvr's are pretty "proprietary", and are very sticky about accepting non-proprietary signals. For instance, a sattelite dish dvr, will not accept these inputs, nor will their hard drives re-format or zero out.

We keep losing shows! They record just fine, but then a few have disappeared, even when protected. Any ideas where they might be, and/or how to keep this from happening?

Check to see how full you DVR is. This happened to us and our DVR was filled up. When that happens the DVR starts to delete stuff, even protected things. It will first delete non-protected shows and then if there are none left to delete and room is still needed, it will delete other shows. Not sure, or can't remember how it prioritizes the deletion but it happens.
Check how full you DVR is and that may be where your problem lies.

I lose my audio often for non-hd channels with dish 622 dvr

The problem could lie in youir HDMI cable, this is a common issue. if you swap HDMI cables and still have the same problem then bypass your A/v rec and connect your 622 direct to your tv and see if the problem persists, it it does, then your DVR needs to be replaced, you can call dish for addition troubleshooting if it is in fact your DVR.

Chirping noise from Freezer and Refrig

Simple fix. Unplug refrigerator, locate fan, wipe clean from collected dirt etc. and spray a little WD-40 on the shaft. Spin the fan. Plug in and voila, chirp is gone.

Permanent fix, replace motor.

Green Power light blinks but no picture or sound with a chirping noise

That chirp is your ballast trying to fire the lamp. Sounds to me like you need a new lamp. The model should be TY-LA1000. Keep in mind though that the ballast could also be faulty, but 85% of the time it's a lamp. Pull the cover off the unit and remove the lamp. More often than not, when the lamp goes it'll actually break and be obvious.
