The Honda 8HP motor will work OK with 90 psi compression but it's on the lower end of good. Most likely it will need new piston rings and possibly the cylinder resurfaced in the near future. Low compression could also be caused by valves not seating completely either from wear or carbon buildup. Depending on what you are looking to spend it may be worth your while to remove or have removed the head to inspect the valves and cylinder wall.

SOURCE: 13hp honda motor what is the right psi for it

It will depend on the pump that you have but the most common versions will be the 13HP PC4-35324 which is a direct drive unit or a PG4-35324 which is a belt drive unit. In both cases the machine would be 4GPM at 3500PSI.

2001 Scrambler 400. What should compression reading be?

With the decompressor active, nominal is 85 - 90 psi. At 62 psi, you have a top end problem. Try dumping a bit of oil in the cylinder and re-test. If the pressure rises, you have a ring seal problem. That sounds like an top end rebuild.

What should compression be?

The most common operating range is generally around 100 to 135 PSI for most 2 cycle engines. You need a compression gauge with short hoses for 2 cycle engines, the longer automotive one's will be off by as much as 35 PSI.

My peugeot zenith 50cc moped wont start , it cut out on me ridding down the road and I'm not sure whether its because I put a cleaner inside the fuel tank to flush out the engine. It now turns over...

What kind of cleaner did you put in the tank? Then you ran the unit with the cleaner in the tank? This is a two-stroke unit; correct?
Hearing that you put cleaner in the tank and that it now turns over faster than normal leads me to think that you have done internal damage to the motor.
Perform a compression test. Good compression is 140 to 160 psi. Anything below 90 psi means the motor needs to be rebuilt with new cylinder, piston and rings, crank bearings and seals, etc.

98 honda accord v6 only has 90 psi compression

90 psi compression is the minumun for gas engine to ignite, you have low compression what is the compression next to it? The compression on Honda V6 is 200psi. you can have a valve problem a blown head gasket, Also make sure your compression gauge is accurate by using another compression gauge

I am sorry to say this, but the compression for that type of engine should be atleast 120 psi. Remove the muffler and look at the cylinder, it is scarred beyond repair.
