YOUR LENS IN THE DISC DRIVE MAY BE DIRTY OR MAYBE DAMAGED ...HAVE YOU MADE SURE YOUR GAMES ARE CLEAN AND FREE OF SCRATCHES...LOOK AROUND TO SEE IF THEY HAVE A LENS CLEANER FOR THE PS3...CALL A LOCAL ELECTRONIC STORE TO CHECK WITH THEM..THIS WILL BE THE LEAST EXPENSIVE ROUTE TO TRY FIRST

Do the games appear to have any physical damage on them such as scratches or smears? If not, it could be the laser going on the PS2. If the games are in good condition prior to entering the console and come out scratched afterwards this could be a sign of a bent disc tray or a foreign object stuck in the system.

Ok, plug in your controller and press the little PS button in the middle of the controller. Then it will prompt you to do a set-up. Choose your system language, then set the date and time. Next it will ask you to set up your newwork configuration so you can go online. You can cancel this and do it later under system settings. Now the XMB should show up, which is the main menu. All you have to do now is pop in a game or movie and enjoy. If you have any further questions or problmes, feel free to ask me. Good luck and happy gaming!!
