How can I find Acer Aspire 5742G STANDARD VGA GRAPHICS ADAPTER

It's actually software. It's a device driver for your onboard graphics card. Cut and copy the address below. After you download it, it should prompt you for an install. Hope it helps!

How do you disable the on board videocard on a hp p6130f?

Turn on the computer. Press the left "Ctrl" key. When the start-up menu appears, select "Safe Mode" and press "Enter." Once the computer enters safe mode, click the Windows "Start" button. Go to "Settings" and open "Control Panel."

Double-click the "System" icon. Choose the "Device Manager" tab. Press the "+" next to "Display Adapters" to view installed display adapters. Highlight the adapter listed and click "Remove" then "OK." Close all open windows and restart the computer.

Press the "F1" key at the blue HP screen. Enter set-up and press "F5" and "Enter" to reset all data. Press "F10" to save and exit.

Right-click the "My Computer" icon on the desktop. Select "Properties" from the menu. Click the "Hardware" tab, then the "Device Manager" button. Expand "Display Adapters" and right-click the graphics card. Select "Update Driver" from the menu.

Choose "No," and hit "Next," then select "Install From a List." Select the option to show all hardware. Choose "Standard Display Types." Select "Standard Display Adapter (VGA)" and hit "Next." Don't restart the computer.

Click the Windows "Start" button. Go to "Settings" and open "Control Panel." Click "Add/Remove Programs." Remove any i810 and i815 chipset programs. Restart the computer. After it starts up, go into the "Display Adapters" section in "Device Manager."

Open the "Standard Display Adapter (VGA)." In the properties window, un-check the box "Exists in All Hardware Profiles." Click "OK" and shut down the computer. Open the computer case. Install the new video card according to the manufacturer's directions

hope this helps

I have bought a dell vostro 1015n and installed the windows 7 ultimate 32-bit operating system .. but when i play the video the colours are not good and the picture is too bright.... what can i do... is it...

The possible reason could be the VGA (Display) Drivers. Right Click My Computer and go to Properties - then Device Manager. Look for VGA Display Adapters (Drivers) in the list. Right Click the Display Adaptor and Choose update Drivers automatically. This will update the Drivers automatically from windows update and install the latest compatible drivers.

Secondly, you can adjust the brightness by Pressing and holding the Fn Key (Bottom left) and pressing the Arrow Down Key to reduce brightness and Arrow up Key for increasing brightness.

Let me know if any further clarification/ assistance is required.

GoodLuck!
Dont forget to appreciate the solution if I could have been of any help!

The standard VGA adapter comes automatically with the OS. You can try one thing...Go to device manager, find the entry for the Radeon card, and delete it. Next, shut down the PC and then restart the machine. The OS will automatically find and install the appropriate driver.
