Question about GE Spacemaker JVM1640SJ Microwave Oven
The bottom of the microwave oven handle has been broken. Probably from every day usuage. It does not show any screws or any visable way to remove the old hande and put a new handle on. Does anyone know how I can do this or is it possible?
The inside of the door has a Black Plastic frame about 1 inch wide. This frame can be removed by placing a thin screwdriver between it and the outer door frame and gently (very gently) prying it away from the door. It takes a little wiggling of the frame but it will unlock. On each end of the handle is a philips head screw that holds the handle to the door.

On my GE Spacemaker XL - there is a hard plastic gasket on the inner surface of the door. It pries off easily (and pops back in easily) with a gentle motion of a screwdriver - you will find the lower handle screw under the the gasket. My question is where can you find a replacement handle?
