Question about Hotpoint 23 in. BFI68 Built-in Dishwasher

Dishwasher does not heat up

I have a Hotpoint BFI 680 dishwasher that started to leak and now does not heat up. Does anyone have a solutions or there a repair manual that I can access to repair ?

The heater t.o.c will be blown it may be resetable access by removing the side panel if the stat is resetable it will have a red button on the top simply press till you hear a click good luck

    check the heater with a multi-meter to check u r getting power to it

My dishwasher model No. is Hotpoint BFI680, There was water lying in the bottom after a wash and it couldn't be restarted, I cleaned it out and took out the drain pump and connected it up to 240volt and...

As the manual says:
If water remains inside the
dishwasher, check:

the drain hose is not kinked.
?
the drain syphon is not
obstructed.
?
the dishwasher filters are not
clogged.

Hi My BFI 680 trips the electricity at the mains just as you put it on. Have cleaned the filters. Any ideas ?


could a internal fault in m/c[shorted wires] water,faulty on /of switch,recheck wiring to m/c

Function buttons do not work on off button does


I have expreienced the same problem and carried out a hard re-set by holding down the on/off switch whilst pressing the program button. It's now working - but not sure for how long!

2+4 - Heating circuit not working. Possible causes - Heating element, connections, timer relay.
Maybe too late a response.

It's Leaking Water!


Most common reason is that the lower spray arm splits on the seem and sprays water under the door, to proove if it is this remove lower spray arm and run through program if no leak fit new arm. Regards Advisor

Dishwasher element and thermostat


Check with multi-meter for power on heating element's tags. If it does get power, you should replace the heating element. In case of no power- you should replace the thermostat. Good luck !
