GE profile refrigerator ice maker not working

Ice dispenser doesn't work
  1. Dispenser control board
If the ice dispenser is not functioning at all the most likely cause is going to be the dispenser control board. The dispenser control board governs the major portion of the systematic functions of the dispenser and is less likely to be the issue if only certain components are malfunctioning. If the dispenser control board is at fault, it will need to be replaced.
  1. Water inlet valve & low water pressure from house supply
If the ice dispenser on your refrigerator is not working properly, one of the first things to consider as an issue is the water pressure to your appliance. The ice dispenser cannot properly function with a psi less than 20. If psi is appropriate, proceed to replace the water inlet valve to correct the issue. You may also be dealing with low household water pressure. This low flow can be examined by using a water pressure test gauge. Once the household water pressure is resolved, you can double check your refrigerator connection to ensure it is now flowing properly and that the ice dispenser is functioning.
  1. Water tube in door is frozen
If the ice dispenser is not working on your refrigerator, the issue could be a frozen water supply tube located in the door. Although this may be a tricky problem to locate, the first thing to do is find a connection point in the tube. After this has been found, attempt to blow air through the tube. If the air flows freely through the tube, it is not frozen and this is not the issue. If it does not, the tube is frozen and needs to be removed to thaw out. As it thaws, attempt to ascertain why it froze and correct the positioning of the tubing to prevent the issue from occurring again in the future.
  1. Dispenser switch
If the refrigerator ice dispenser is not working properly you could be dealing with a defective dispenser switch. Activated by the dispenser actuator, the switches are responsible for numerous actions including ice cube disbursement, type of ice, and water controls. The switch can be tested using an ohm meter and should be replaced if it does not reveal continuity.
  1. Door switch
If the refrigerator ice dispenser is not working, the functionality of the door switch can be inspected. This switch is responsible for turning on the light in the freezer and simultaneously turning off the ice dispenser when the freezer door is opened. If this switch malfunctions, it will show no continuity on the ohm meter and will require replacement.

Switch either sticks or doesn't work. Fluid is evident in the clear tube. How do I get rid of fluids from the tube?

First of all, there shouldn't be any fluid in the tube. This switch works on air pressure that is generated when you push on the sink button. The tubing that came with this is black, did you change the tubing ? If the tubing that is on there has a hole in it or isn't fastened correctly, it wont work properly. Secondly, check your plugs. The insinkerator plug should be in the outlet and your disposal should be pluged into it.

To remove the tube, it just pulls off both ends that its connected to. They are just push on fittings and do not actually have a nut or something to connect it. Get the fluid out of the tube and reinstall.

Not getting any hot water. Pilot light and burner seem to be working properly. Went from working fine in morning to not working at all this evening.

No hot water anywhere,or just one faucet, doesn't sound right if burner is working,if its coming on then your gas valve/thermostat on front is not working properly. Can be changed, but I would turn up temp. red dial see if she fires and watch to see if she stays on.Gas valve is threaded in and can be changed, depending on warranty.Could also be dip tube is cracked or broken in half, its a tube that forces cold water to bottem of tank,if not working you'll get a real short shower because cold water is in top of tank.Tube can be replaced, its on the cold water fill side which would have to be taken apart.Thinking now its your tube

Dish washer not draning all the water

Could be a couple of things:
The drain is partially blocked.
There is some debris in the bottom of the dishwasher causing this.
The motor is not reversing properly. Some dishwashers the motor reverses to pump the water out.
There is water flowling back down the discharge tube.
Sometimes there is a flow director in the discharge tube that keeps the water from the drain from flowing back down that tube and it is not working properly. Check all these things. To give an detailed and particular answer please provide the model number and brand of your dishwasher...

No picture onTV screen only audio after lightning

May be your picture tube got damaged in that lightning. This may be an effect of the magnetization of the picture tube due to a huge electric current passing near it. Try demagnetizing the tube and if it doesn't work get it replaced. Try having a properly working tube of an older television as modern picture tubes lack quality.

Air conditioning 1996 Ford Explorer

You were not clear, but I assume the compressor runs OK. If not, troubleshoot the electrical to the compressor. Did you replace the orifice tube while it was discharged for service? If not, then check the pressures. If low side pressure is high the tube might be plugged, especially if you truly had a bad compressor. In a properly working system the line should be cold on the evaporator side of the orifice tube when properly charged. If compressor runs, system properly charged and that line is warm then suspect a plugged tube.

Crazy a/c

try this first. The aspirator grille is on the instrument panel and looks like a tiny regidter, maybe 1 1/2 inch by 1 inch.

Check for proper connection of the in-car temperature aspirator tube. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
  1. Cut a piece of toilet paper or tissue paper about 3.7x3.7 cm (1.5x1.5") (paper towel will not work).
  2. Turn the key on and turn fan speed to HIGH.
  3. Select PANEL or VENT mode.
  4. Place the piece of tissue paper over the aspirator grille opening in the bezel. If aspiration (suction) is present, the tissue paper should stick to the aspirator grille.
  5. Turn the fan OFF. The tissue paper should fall off.
  6. If the tissue paper falls off the aspirator grille while the fan is on HIGH, check that the aspirator tube is properly connected at the right bottom corner of the front heater. The black connector on the white flexible tube should be snapped over the black tube connected to the heater plenum. Also, check for kinks and cuts in the aspirator tube.
