Take print head out, clean with alcohol wipe or swab, re install. Have had to do it more than once if ink has dried a lot. The only other option is to replace head.

If your using anything other than brother ink it must be very compatible.
Generic ink will dry and clog the ink jets, I suggest you replace with brother cartridges and clean ,clean, clean. If problem exists you'll
have to get a ink syringe, some paper towels to place under the print head. Fill the syringe with hot! water and send just a little through each hole where the ink would go in from the cartridge. Be Very Careful not to inject to much justs enough to loosen the the dried ink and free the the jets. I take no responsibility if you get it wrong. I was able to correct the same problem with mine the same way and never used generic ink again. You can do it! and save on repair bills.

Tip

Keep your ink-jet printer printing

Print head or ink cartidge clogged? Prevent this common problem. If you don't use your ink-jet on a regular basis, opting to use a laser for faster printing and sharper text, pick a day of the week (anyday) and make an entry into whichever calendar application you use to send a recurring reminder to print a test page from your ink-jet. Printing at least once a week will reduce the possibility that the cartridge or print head will clog with dry ink.

Ink is not flowing on printer

Either the ink cartridge is empty or due to non use for a long period of time, the ink jets have dried and clogged up.In 1st case change the cartridge. In second case remove the cartridge and run under tap for a few seconds so that the clogged up ink gets washed up. Dab with a soft cloth to dry up and take out a test page. If it is not clear, go in to clean cartridge options and clean it. remember not to rub the jets with cloth so as not to damage or dealign them.

How can you clean the printer but clicking on

Hi
If yourPSC 1210v printer has been left unused for some time? You probably have an ink clog and the standard cleaning is not enough to clear the clogged ink.

Assuming your HP 56 57 still has ink? Empty they are about 30g Each 1g over that is 1ml of unused ink.

Provided it worked OK before a period of non-use? Then you just need to use a PRINT HEAD CLEANING KIT to unclog the tiny jets.
Magic Inkjet Flush usually works a treat on those!

Magic is ideal for unclogging the tiny jets on any Canon,Epson HP and removing those horrible white lines which usually appear in prints when dried ink clogs several jets...

So if yours appears to be a clog? all you should need to do is to use a littleMagic Inkjet Flush to soak the print head and you should be printing again like new.

My HP Photosmart c6150 keeps shutting it's self off and then on. Then there was a message that said pump failed

Check the INK nozzels to see if they are clogged, Use a q-tip /or several to remove the ink in the nozzels, then check the ink jets where the ink makes contact with the paper, and clear them, if the printer hasnt been used in a while the nozzel could be clogged , with dry ink , not allowing the ink to flow. and causing the Pump fail to come on.

Ink heads have dried

Remove the ink jet cartridges and clean them with a moist paper towel.

The black one will have to be replaced. If there dried I wouldn't refill them because chances are the nozzles are clogged and they won't work on a refill.

Jets clogged?

Hi, ink cartridge nozzles (jets)dry out and clog even if the cartridge is full of ink. This happens especially if you don't print often or haven't replaced the cartridge in a long time or if the "new" cartridge sat on some shelf for a long time. You can try a wet paper towel on the bottom of the cartridge where the ink comes out. Hold it there for at least a minute, then put the cartridge back in the printer and try to print. Have some hand cleaner ready-your fingers will get a little ink on them. Even if it only partially prints, then you know the problem is that the cartridge nozzles are clogged. Good luck..
