The rechargeable batteries are no longer holding their charge for more than about 10 photos. Is it the camera or are my rechargers both not functioning properly.

You need to replace your rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries have shelf life too depending on usage. Get the model number off your existing battery, google it and you should be able to find some retailer that sells something compatible.

Does the leapster2 recharging station fit the leapster

This will only recharge the batteries approx. 300 times! After that it is useless! I had to throw mine out because it would no longer hold the charge. Save your money and just buy regular rechargeable batteries.
but to answer your question, no sorry it wont fit.
good luck!

Where can you get Ni-MH rechargeable batteriesmaryha

Wal-Mart, K-mart, any retailer sells them. Just look for rechargeable AA batteries (and their charger) in the electronics section of the store. Look in the section where they sell the batteries. Depending on the brand, and if you also need a charger, they should run about $8-13 for four. But note that they will save you big money in the long run, and you'll be very pleased in their performance. They'll last up to to five times longer in your camera per each charge than normal throw-away alkaline batteries (no kidding).

Where to buy battery replacement?

You have not mentioned what type of batteries you are using in your digital camera
Any how, You can buy the batteries
1 In any of the retailer shop selling digital cameras by taking the old sample with you.
2 You can go to Brand Retailer and get it there.
3 You can buy on line.
4 If the batteries are ordinary cells, unless they are rechargeable cell, then you can get them in any retailer shop near your home.

I have a Canon Powershot A710 Digital camera. The batteries never lasted very long before they ran out. I have tried various brands but the life per charge has always been very limited. Any suggestions?...

Alkaline batteries just don't have the power for more than a few pics in today's digital camera. Some brands may have reached their shelf-life in the store, and may have problems just powering startup of the camera right out of the package.
Digital cameras for the most part should only be used with rechargeable batteries. Modern rechargeables are 3 to 5 times more powerful than alkalines. And you can recharge them! These days many retailers sell these for around $7 for a package of four (about $15-19 for the batteries with charger). Keep in mind they'll save you big bucks in the long run over alkalines, AND they'll last for at least 100 pictures per charge (and probably many, many more). You'll be very pleased with their performance, and may slap yourself for not buying them sooner. When at the store, look on the package for a power rating of at least 2500 mah.

Battery life seems very short, now won't power up with new AA's

Are you still using alkaline batteries? If so, alkaline batteries just don't have the power for more than a few pics in a digital camera. Some may have reached their shelf life, and though brand new may even have problems just powering startup of the camera. Digital cameras for the most part should only be used with rechargeable NiMH batteries. Retailers sell these for around $7 for a package of four (about $15-19 for the batteries with charger). Keep in mind they'll save you big bucks in the long run over alkalines, AND they'll last for at least 100 pictures per charge (and probably many many more).
