Pry the lens (the white part) from the rear near the two sides with a flat screw driver. Don't pry the ring/edge around it.Take the bulb straight out or pry it out. Press the new bulb in the slot and press the lens back on.

SOURCE: My hood is fitted with

You have a problem with the wiring. Check the ground where the power is connected to the range hood. Make sure the ground is tight and secure. Also check both the white neutral and black power connections. Remove the wire nuts and look to see you have a solid connection. Replace the wire nuts tightening them securely. Be sure and turn the power off at the breaker panel before working on the unit.

The ballast inside the fixture is rated to operate 2 25w bulbs. You can't put higher wattage bulbs in this fixture, unless you change the ballast. Sorry.

52" Vaxcel Fresco II Oil Burnished Bronze Finish Ceiling Fan cant change downlight

why not, cant you figure out how to change a light bulb? Look carefully at the way it is made, look for screws to remove a plastic or glass cover to get access to the downlight ,which i assume is a light that points down.
worst case senario is you have to read the owners manual under how to change the light bulb
or call up customer service and ask them how or at least how to call techinical service.
In all fairness , a down light may not be a light bulb that points down , but some kind of compact flouresent light bulb.
check if vaxcel has a web site. they might have instructions on how to change a down light bulb.

Changing light bulb in ceiling fan

At the top of the pull chain there is a metal piece; this is threaded on a bolt. Unscrew the metal piece and lower the globe to expose the bulbs then remove and replace the bulb(s). I recommend flourescents as they are more economical, run cooler and last linger than incandescents (regular bulbs).
