a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: win98se i did it ... HERE'S HOW
OK, I bought this Western Digital MyBook 500 GB Essential Edition too, and could not get it to work with Windows 98 SE.
I followed the above instructions, but my version of windows was missing even the drivers suggested above! UGH!
HOWEVER, I found ANOTHER SOLUTION. I installed USB 2.0 drivers for mass storage and the the MY BOOK icon popped up on my Windows 98 SE machine. Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!
Here are the drivers from this british webpage:
Good luck to all you frustrated folks scooping your info off Windows 98 machines!

right click on my computer click manage, then in the new screen click on disk management, can you see the device there? if so right click on it and click delete partition, then after right click and make a partition and format it with a quick format, this should then show it in mycomputer ,this will delete all data on the hard drive!

Does the Iomega show up under 'my computer'?
It should be another drive (D, E, F whatever) and as such you put stuff on to it the same way you would put stuff on to your C drive.
