Foxconn m/b memory capabilities?

Hi, I have a foxconn n15235 m/b currently with a single 512mb DDR2 533Mhz chip installed.

This is in my Ei Systems Ei 303 desktop and i was wondering if the motherboard is capable of handling more memory. I have read that for some systems the motherboard can handle 2gb of ram and I was wondering if mine can too.

thanks in advance

YOU HAVE TO CALL THE MANIFACTURE OF YOU PRODUCT AND ASK TO SEE IF THE SYSTEM WILL SUPPORT MORE MEMORY

LETS SAY YOUR USING VISTA 32BIT, SHARE VEDIO UP TO 860MB, MOST SYSTEMS WILL ALLOW 3-4 GB, BUT SOME MANIFACTURE SYSTEMS MAY ONLY ALLOW 1 GB RAM, THE BOARD MANIFACTURE MAY SUPPORT 4GB BUT THE MANIFACTURE MAY ONLY ALLOW 1-4 GB OF RAM.

Hello sir/madam... I m using PI845GVM-AGP motherboard. Currently installed with 512mb ram and 2.13Ghz(Celeron) processor. Issue is, when i install 1Gb ram System goes through POST well but after loading...

I see 3 possibilities:
  1. While it may be the same MFG and same speed, the new ram MAY be high density chips and if you are using them with the original low density chips there may be a compatibility issue. (Some systems don't play well mixing single ranked and dual ranked chips etc)
  2. You may need to flash the bios to ensure compatibility with the new RAM
  3. The new ram is faulty.

Foxconn motherboard n15235 no viedio

Hi,

That motherboard is either a P4M800P7MB-RS2 or a P4M800P7MB-RS2H, even thou it has N15235 stamped on the board. The board
Supports VGA display function (S3 Graphics UniChromeTM Pro IGP)
but, also has an AGP 8X slot. A slot that allows you to install a AGP 8X (AGP 3.0) card. A AGP 8x is the VGA interface specification that enabled enhanced graphics performance with bandwidth speeds up to 2.1 GB/s.

Hope that answers your question.

Foxconn n15235 memory support?

The Foxconn n15235 isn't the correct designation.This is a propritary designation from EI SystemsFont Definitions */ @font-face {font-family:PMingLiU; panose-1:2 2 3 0 0 0 0 0 0 0; mso-font-alt:新細明體; mso-font-charset:136; mso-generic-font-family:roman; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:3 137232384 22 0 1048577 0;} @font-face {font-family:"\@PMingLiU"; panose-1:2 2 3 0 0 0 0 0 0 0; mso-font-charset:136; mso-generic-font-family:roman; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:3 137232384 22 0 1048577 0;} /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-parent:""; margin:0cm; margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family:PMingLiU; mso-bidi-language:AR-SA;} @page Section1 {size:595.3pt 841.9pt; margin:72.0pt 90.0pt 72.0pt 90.0pt; mso-header-margin:35.4pt; mso-footer-margin:35.4pt; mso-paper-source:0;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} --> the motherboard in your system is actually a Foxconn’s P4M800P7MB.

Foxconn manual for a n15235

There is no Foxconn mainboard (and will never be...) called N15235 although this is printed on the board. The right name is P4M800P7MB-RS2H and you can find all stuff here: LINK

P.S.: you can find the right model number printed on the board beside the RAM slot near the CPU and on small label above.
