How to turn off keypad sound

Does anyone know how to turn off the sound when using the keypad function of the phone. It doesn't seem to be possible without turning off all sounds including the phone ringing.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My keypad seems to have mind of it's open...rarely offering the function that I want. I have to turn it off at the wall switch in order to get it to do anything, then I use the options available,

behind the keypad there is a control board.
google the model number and replace part.
power surges kill these boards.
turn off before replacing.

The keypad do not work

Either a software re flash may help or a keypad replacement. Usually facial moisture could be a cause of this. i would recommend trying a blow dryer on the keypad for 40 seconds with out the battery to see if that fixes the problem

Just got a Samsung g600, Under settingd I dont have 'sound settings' as with previous samsung fone. This means that I cannot assign a ring tone for text messages I cant find any way to do this. I also...

Hi, for anyone still having this problem with the newer Samsung phones, I just solved the issue I posted up earlier.

To disable keypad tones, but keep your ringtone etc active, go to Profiles -> edit your 'Normal' profile.
Press right on the selection pad twice to get to phone-related settings. Scroll down to the bottom of that page of settings to the 'Phone sound volume' option, select it and adjust it to zero.

This will turn off all keypad noises and other irritating beeps while not actually turning your phone on to 'silent mode', which would disable your ringtone etc.

Hope this helps, I know I was going insane with this phone until I figured out how to turn those sounds off.
