Your resolution may be set to high for the monitors ability. try lowering your refresh rate as well. Also, reset your video card settings to default.

I TRIED TO RESET THE RESOLUTION. THE SCREEN WENT BLANK AND THE MESSAGE ON THE SCREEN SAYS IMPUT SIGNAL OUT OF RANGE

Hello,
I believe the max resolution this LCD can support is 1440 x 900 / 75 Hz. If you set your display resolution higher then that, you will receive the input signal out of range error. Your LDC turns off to protect it self from the invalid settings. If you can not change it back once your PC boots to windows, you may have to do it in save mode by pressing F8 once you power on your PC and before the windows loading screen starts.
Regards, Chris

Display shows invalid format after connecting computer in LCD tv

The PC video resolution is too high for the monitor to display, you need to set it to the native resolution of the monitor to get the best pictures. Please read here: http://www.fixya.com/support/r4873371-fixing_out_range_format_not_supported

It means your PC video resolution setting is too high for this monitor to display.
You need to set the resolution to 1024 x 768 @60Hz. Bootup in safe mode (hit f8 during bootup) select VGA support, rest the resolution to 1024 x 768 @60Hz, reboot.

"Invalid Format" message

Hello,

This should help you. I think Chris Duckworth said it best. "sounds to me like your refresh rates or resolution may be set too high on the XP machine."

Go to this website to get the rest about setting up your tv as a monitor. Type invalid in the word search to get to the relevant section.
