The most common issue with this type of head is water deposits building up in the spray face. This will cause the unit to express water from the venturi in the center of the spray face as well as other places. If this is the case the best solution is to remove the unit and soak it in CLR for about ten minutes. Then rinse it well and reconnect to the water source. Run water throught the shower head and while running rub the rubber water channels to further break up and clear out the deposits. Then repeat the process at least two more times or until the deposits are cleared out. If you need further help feel free to contact Hansgrohe Technical at 1-800-334-0455.

Hi Ajgannon,Take out the plastic cover where the wipers come through and clean out the rain water drain pipes. (on either side of the body, at the lowest point under the covers) that should clear the problem and stop you from taking a shower in the car.Regards Johngee10

My rain shower is blocked , only 20% of the holes are working, what do I do, It is two years old and slowly the holes are not working

Your shower head is getting clogged with calicum or lime and will continue to plug up worse until you clean it.
Remove the Shower head from the Shower pipe and submerse it in a bucket mixed with 50% Water and 50% CLR. Let it say submersed for about an hour, then rinse it completly under fresh running water to wash away the CLR and the dissolved calicum/lime.
CLR can be bought at numerous places such as Lowes,Home Depot, and numerous other places.

There is a shut off valve that will screw onto the shower head extension pipe. It would fit on the pipe and then the shower head will screw back onto it.

Lowes or Home Depot should have them. Here is link to show you what to look for.

Water leaks shere showerhead joins the shower stem

when reconnecting the shower head to the pipe coming from the wall..

did you use some pipe tape, pro dope or another type of joining compound?

this seems likely to be the problem.. if you don't have any on hand, visit a hardware store and ask their staff for pipe tape for plumbing and you should be pointed into the right direction.

How to install

Hi,
Take a cloth or rag and a large pliers... place it around the nut of the old shower head and turn it to the left or counter clockwise as you are looking up at the shower head...
Then take the new shower head and spin it on there clockwise till it is snug...that's all there is too changing it...

Remove the shower head and flush the plumbing by opening both valves fully. When you did the heater work, you dislodged some scale . Now it's in the shut off valve. It's no big deal as long as you hsaven't forced anything to stop it. Good Luck_Ned_

My Hans Grohe rain shower head is having a lighter spray recently. Is there a way to improve the spray force and/or clean it? Thanks, Therese Terschuren

Rain head showers are a nice thought, but they come with a bundle of problems. This is common one, though, so fear not.

As long as your regular shower head isn't losing pressure (I'm assuming that you have at least two heads instead of just one rain head) I would recommend carefully removing the head with an adjustable wrench and letting it soak in CLR (calcium lime rust) for at least an hour. Often times minerals in water will build up in the small holes on a shower head and greatly reduce efficiency.

Remember to apply teflon tape to the threads before carefully retightening the shower head to avoid spraying water from the wrong end!
