I have a Dyna-Glo heater, model #RMC-FA50A, heater will not get hot and there is a odar and eye burning smell after running a short time.

When this type of problem happens, you most likely need to take apart your heater and clean it well. If it still doesn't work after that, blow it out with an air compressor. If then it still isn't working, I suggest you sell that heater and buy a new one.

A contractor just install a new Hayward H serie pool heater. Every time he turns it on, teh 240 amp breaker trips. He has suggested the heater is defective from teh factory. Any suggestions?

He suggests? If he disconnects the heater I assume you can turn the breaker on and it doesn't trip, correct? Has he checked the wiring for grounds? Double checked he's wiring it correctly? The heater's wiring connection is not color coded the way you normally find a 115 or 230 V circuit. He should have the black and orange wires connected to the 230V lines, the white wire capped off and the ground to the chassis. If all that checks out then yes, the heater has an issue. If he is not a warranty service provider please visit the Hayward site to get one out there. You can find them selecting service from a drop-down menu after you enter your zip code here:

If your initial search doesn't bring up a provider increase the radius until you get one.

Hello i have proble with air conditioner and heater is a split system unit

What its telling you is that there is an outdoor "thermostat" that senses the outdoor temperature.
The system has found a failure on this area.

It is telling you to check the sensor to see if its actually the sensor thats bad, or something else.

Then its telling you to check the wiring and connection of the sensor to the control board for any loose wiring or broken connections, and to repair it if so.

It then says if niether of those two checks reveal any problems that the problem is the board itself and it should be replaced.

To answer the question, resetting it probably will not work.
There is a small chance that due to power surge, flickering lights, or just a fluke one time glitch that there is nothing rally wrong and resetting would work.
95% chance that is not so.

Chigo Wine Fridge Error

I have a Chigo that displays error code E2.1 alternating at times with E8. The unit runs intermittently. My dealer and I agree the control circuit board is faulty and should be changed at a cost of $125. It is likely due to a failure of the control circuit board, but more specifically the circuitry on the control board related to the upper temperature sensor. The connectors for the sensors and the connector between the compressor and the control and relay boards are also flakey, and this could be the cause, but I could not isolate a bad connection, so will change the control board and hope that fixes the problem.
