Thanks for the information. When I get to that stove's location I'll pull it out and look for those parts.

the parts may be one your range! the regulator requires only flip the top.and many gas ranges have the orfice spuds in a bracket and they are then screwed to the back or were in with opperator's manuel.other wise you would use youur model ser# and order a kit from an appliance parts supplyer.if they say there's no kit then all needed is adjusting of the orfic'es but that's on older ranges

The kit is located at the rear of the range right near the gas valve, there are probably 5 spuds and an extender for the large burner, directions are with the range. For the bake and broil you will need to tighten the brass orifice nuts down as tight as possible, also the brass nut on the gas valve needs to be reversed
your local LP dealer should be able to do this for you if you are uncomfortable doing it yourself.

I've just converted my stove from natural gas to propane and the oven and broiler flame are both to high, how can I lower them?

When converting from natural gas to propane you have to switch the regulator to propane. then on most modern stoves you have to turn the orifice hoods down to adjust for the higher pressure of propane. there are some stoves that you have to purchase a propane conversion kit with different orifices for the burners and oven burners.

SWITCH FROM NATURAL GAS TO PROPANE GAS MAYTAG MGR 5755 ADQ LOKING FOR GUIDE AND DESCRIBE ALL PARTS, NEEDED TO SWITCH FROM NATURAL GAS TO PROPANE GAS . PLEASE THANK YOU

Hello. Contact your propane provider and they will get you the conversion kit for your maytag model. In fact, they will send a technician to your home for free to make the conversion for you.
If you want to do it yourself go to any appliance store that handles maytag and get the conversion kit. Then remove the orifices that are currently in the stove and replace them. Regards, Joe

GE XL44 propane to natural gas conversion.

Hi, You will need to use a 1/2" wrench and turn the orfice for the oven 2 turns counter clockwise.
Make sure you flip the plunger over on the regulator also.
After doing these things, watch the flame in the oven to make sure no other adjustment is needed.
Please let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.

Natural gas to propane

GE is one company which generally includes all necessary parts and instructions for conversion to LP with the range without having to order or purchase anything extra. Check the mini manual in the white envelope pasted to the back of the range for instructions. Generally, the LP orifices are in a metal holder near the gas regulator (right where the gas connects to the range). You will have to flip the plunger in the center of the regulator and turn down the collar (with a 1/2 inch open end wrench) on the oven burner and broil burner about 3 full turns. Air shutters are usually OK without any adjustments.
