Step 1: Sleep Mode b> Sleep mode is primarily used with home computers (desktop computers). Sleep mode is designed to save the current work, programs, and settings of your computer using your computers memory, while using very little power. b> Hibernate Mode b> Hibernate mode is primarily used with laptop's. Hibernate mode is designed to save your computers current state on to the hard disk, then turn off your computer to stop using power completely. This mode is usually used when you do not plan on using your laptop for an extended amount of time. Benefits b> Using Hibernate mode is more power-efficient, but files may become fragmented over time by using this mode frequently. Sleep mode does consume more power, but the advantage that Sleep mode has over Hibernate is that it does not take as long to resume your computers former state when you are ready to continue using it.
Sounds like either your computer is in hibernation mode or your TV is set to sleep, what type of connection to your computer are you using? I do believe in this model Vizio there is a sleep option on each of the Video sources. But I would guess its your computer going into either sleep mode or in your running windows 7 Hybrid sleep mode.
if the pc runs windows vista they won't work in less they have a power but if the pc runs windows xp try to install the drivers for the speakers here is the download link http://www.user-guides.co.uk/download/free/freedrivers/free-drivers-installing-dell-a215-speakers.html
most of the time with dell computers that will happen .... try to make shore that you have all the update installed and then right click on ur desktop and go to propaty and then screen saver and turn off the sleep "to not to go sleep or turn off hard drive
Is there a reason why you cant turn off sleep mode and just let the screen saver kick in? You can do this by right clicking on your desktop and goto properties. Then ScreenSaver, then click on power.
Change these values to never and then go back and set your screen saver...
can you get it out of sleep mode? if so then change your power settings.... you may also be in a mode that the monitor cant support try going into safemode to see if stays on ... if it does it could be two things..... the res is Too high or there is a program that is making it go to sleep......if you have anymore information or would like more help reply here or e-mail me at email@example.com
I think you would have to turn off the sleep timer mode completely or increase its ON time span, say to 4 hours or so
or the lenth of time you have the TV on for. If that does not fix it then it sounds like a STANDBY MODE fault problem.
Hope this helps.
There is an On Display Menu (ODM). You can access it by pushing the button located on the monitor. Use +- buttons to navigate in the menu. Here you can switch off the sleep mode or change the sleep settings. I have a simular problem... I try to turn off the power save function but it seems like it dosen´t want to understand this...
