Re: touch screen on kyocera 5035 isnt working
Well if you see the scan and fax button on the operation panel this doesnot mean you have the scanner and fax card inserted inside the machine, those cards are options, in order to check if you have the cards. look to the right side of the machine, next to print cable should be another network port for the scanning card, and also you should be able to see fax ports below that. if you donot see any of this! this means you donot have those options available in the machine.

Create a scan to PC profile
1 Type the IP address of the MFP in the address line of your browser, and then press Enter.
If the Java applet screen appears, click Yes.
2 Click Scan Profile.
3 Click Create Scan Profile.
4 Select your scan settings, and then click Next.
5 Select a location for saving the scanned output file somewhere on your computer.
6 Enter a profile name.
The profile name is the name that will appear on the Scan Profile list on the MFP control panel.
7 Click Submit.
8 Review the instructions on the Scan to PC screen.
A shortcut number was automatically assigned when you clicked Submit. You can use this shortcut number when
you are ready to scan your documents.
a Go to the MFP, and place your original document in the ADF face up, long edge first.
b Press # followed by the shortcut number on the keypad, or touch Profiles on the home screen.
c After you enter the shortcut number, the scanner will scan and send the document to the directory or
application you specified. If you touch Profiles on the home screen, locate your shortcut on the list.
9 Return to your computer to view your file.
Your output file is saved in the location you specified or launched in the application you specified.
• The printer is connected to a computer that is equipped with a fax modem.
• The computer is connected to a working phone line.
• Both the printer and the computer are turned on.
• The Lexmark Fax Software is installed on your computer.
Sending a fax using the software
You can scan a document to the computer and then fax it to someone using the software.
1 Load an original document facedown on the scanner glass.
2 From the desktop, double-click the Lexmark Imaging Studio icon.
3 From the left pane of the Welcome screen, click Fax.
4 Select the Document option.
5 Click Start.
6 Enter the recipient information, and then click Next.
Note: A fax number can include up to 64 numbers, commas, periods, and/or these symbols: * # + - ( ).
7 Enter the cover page information, and then click Next.
8 If there are any additional documents that you want to send with your fax, add these now, and then click Next.
9 To send your fax:
• Immediately-Select the Send now option.
• At a scheduled time:
a Select the "Delay sending until" option.
b Set a time and date.
10 If you want a paper copy of your fax, select Print a copy of your fax.
11 Click Send.
Press SYSTEM SETTINGS
select Admin Password and enter the password as "admin" and OK on both screens
Scroll to LIST PRINT (ADMINISTRATOR)
Select IMAGE SENDING ACTIVITY REPORT and select FAX. This will print out the log up to a maximum of 200 events ( Tx, Rx and failed sendings)
If you want a transaction report printed for each individual transmission:
Enter Admin mode as above

TRANSACTION REPORT PRINT SELECT SETTINGS and select Single Sending / Broadcast etc and PRINT OUT ALL REPORT

On this tab: You can:
Send • Enter your name and fax number.
• Select a maximum send speed and a print quality for outgoing faxes.
• Choose whether to scan the entire document before dialing the number.
• Choose whether to use error correction.
• Select when to print a fax usage report.
• Select when to print a fax activity report.
Print faxes received
from memory when ink is low or paper has run out or paper has jammed.
It may be necessary to press <Stop/Reset> to clear the error then
attempt to print the fax from memory.
Press <FAX>, then press <Menu>. [FAX SETTINGS] will appear at the top row.
Use to select [MEMORY REFERENCE].
Use to select [PRINT DOCUMENT] or [DELETE DOCUMENT].
If you select [PRINT DOCUMENT]:
select the transaction number (TX/RX NO.) of the document you want to
print, or enter the number using the numeric buttons. If you are unsure
of the transaction number, print the MEMORY LIST Press <OK>.
Use[ ] to select <YES> to print the first page only, or use [ ]
to select <NO> to print all pages of the document. (Received
faxes begin at 5001. Faxes waiting to be transmitted start at 0001.)
To print another document, return to step 4b, or to finish printing, go to step 5.
If you select [DELETE DOCUMENT]:
to select the transaction number (TX/RX NO.) of the document you want
to delete, or enter the number using the numeric buttons.
Use [ ] to select <YES>to delete document, or use [ ] to select <NO> not to delete the document.
Press <OK>. To delete another document, return to step 4g, or to finish deleting, go to step 5.
