Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine the type of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI and WMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format that your MP3 player uses. After video conversion then copy the video files to your MP3 player using the USB cable from your computer. how do i get music on to my coby mp3 from the computer, my daughters works from the computer why doesnt mine
SOURCE: what kind of video file does the coby mp-c7082 play? Also, how do i download these files to it?
The software, esp the AMV converter necessary for converting movies, can be found by entering your model # at:
http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=doc
I had to click on support -> mp3 & Mp4 and then the exact model # - I couldn't get to it through the regular mp3/mp4 page - trust me, it's there
It supports AMV format only, so it must go through the AMV converter on the Coby website

Oh I no what your doing wrong WMV is a Audio format not a movie format i suggest you get a converter off google and download it they are very easy to use and i also suggest you use AVI but im not too sure that it can read AVI but most converters show you if they are Audio or Movie so i hope you have fun and i hope i helpped you out BYE.

well when i used coby media manager it had a video converter in the video option on the side.i had to register my coby before the software use with its serial # on a sticker located on the back of the device! then i simply used the sycronize feature in the video option on the coby with a video preferbly avi files or others and right click syncronize and it should convert it and then transfer!

1. Did your unit comes with Coby Media Manager? THere are two versions of this unit, one comes with and one doesnt. You can usually tell, if your unit came with an Installation CD, then it doesnt use Coby Media Manager
2. To access CMM - Start > My Computer> Double click the removable disk drive that looks like a 'C' with a big red circle, follow prompts to open Coby Media Manager.
3. IF you somehow formatted or deleted it, you can download a new copy from here:
