I have found that the best way to adjust your mouse settings is to create a control panel in your bottom toolbar scroll to the bottom of your screen right click you will see an array of options select the toolbar option then select desktop then you will see the desktop in the bottom toolbar select the 2 >>arrow heads then all control panel items then select mouse this is in WINDOWS 7 in XP you will have to select the new toolbar option once you have that a browse option select my computer then control panel then a control panel option will be in the bottom toolbar Click start right click on my computer select properties device manager control scroll to mice and pointing devices you might see a yellow question mark? right update driver Click on >> control panel all control panel items mouse you should see 4 tabs buttons pointers pointer options and hardware under hardware you have options to troubleshoot also you can select properties under driver you will have the options update driver rollback driver or uninstall in xp. In windows 7 click start control panel hardware and sound mouse you will see the same tabs and options as with xp
Hope this helps.

I've had this wireless mouse for 3 months (microsoft wireless mobile mouse 4000). it just stopped working. the battery is fresh (the red light is still on) and the transmitter is still firmly in the usb...

When you replace the Battery on a Wireless Mouse you have to link the Mouse again with your USB receiver. There should be a Button on the bottom of the Mouse that could be marked, Reset, or Link or something similar. Just turn on your Mouse and hold this Button for a few second until the USB receiver finds the signal.

How do I install my wireless dynex mouse

The mouse should have come with a CD which has the mouse software on it. Put the CD into your computer and follow the installation instructions. Once the software has been installed, plug the USB receiver (the thin black piece) into your computer. Put a battery in your mouse and turn it on. Then press the Connect button on your receiver, and when the light starts flashing, press the Connect button on the mouse. The light will stop flashing and your mouse should be ready to use.

My mouse was just working and all of a sudden it stopped, I changed the batteries, reset the small button on the bottom and also pushed the button on the plug in portion. Help Allen

I have a miscrosoft wireless laser mouse 6000, and it also stopped working on my laptop. I changed the battery, still not working. I tested the battery in another device, and it was good. I moved the mouse to another computer, and it did not work. The light on the usb connector was lit. [No changes at all to my laptop.]. It seemed like there was no power to the mouse, and I looked at the contacts inside the mouse. The contact just inside the battery opening appeared to be bent down away from the contact on the battery tray. So, I pulled it up a little so it would connect when the battery drawer closed, and (after tweaking it a couple of times), it finally worked!

Usb mouse not working on new laptop, was then all of sudden just quit

Is this a wireless mouse? If yes, you need to isolate the problem. Please follow the steps below:

1. Use fresh batteries.
2. Connect the wireless receiver/dongle into different USB ports of the computer.
3. Make sure that the mouse is turned on and then try to reconnect the mouse to the receiver by briefly pressing the connect button on the receiver and then hold down the connect button on the mouse.

Hope this helps and have a great day!

My microsoft model no 3000 wireless notebook is not working.

I suggest to put a new battery in it's compartment and simultaneously to press down and release the small button that protrudes where the receiver is placed at the bottom of mouse. Prior to this procedure the receiver has to be installed in the USB port. Both actions are to be performed at the same time. Cursor will start moving again.
Good luck!!!

Mouse not responding

Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch. Hope this helps you. Bud

The BenQ M310 mouse needs to "sync" with the USB receiver. Need to push the two buttons at the same time, or maybe the one in the mouse first then push the button in the USB receive so the two can "sync" to each other. This may solve this problem. Good luck!
