Blank sreen h-d radio

2006 road glide, the radio works but the screen is blank. The back light went out first, you push on the screen and it came on. Now nothing no matter what you do. Can you buy a replacement screen? You can buy a refab from h-d but its $250.

My radio doesn't work screen is blank for my 2005 Audi A8

You either have a Blown Fuse or your Radio went bad.. I have seen BOTH happen. Test your Fuses and if the fuses are all good, you need to pull the Radio and confirm that you have Power getting to the Radio and if there is Power, you Radio is SHOT!!!

MY RADIO SCREEN IS BLANK, RADIO WORKS ,THEY HAVE TOLD ME THAT YOU CAN BRING UP THE NUMBERS IF YOU PUT IT IN DISPLAY MODE AND PUSH VOLUMN UP OR DOWN BUT HOW DO YOU DO THAT IF YOU CAN...

Turn the radio on, press the mode button on the handle bar, press the #4 button on the radio (top right), press the volume down. If it's a software related fade issue, this will return it.

This defect was only possible on early 06 models with 6.8 version software. If it's mid 06 or newer, or if the software has ever been updated, it wont work.

You most likely have a physical defect with the radio. For repair options, contact Iron Cross Audio.

I have a 2003 Road Glide. Is there any way I could install the newer Harley radio for 2006 and up. Thanks Jay

the 23 pin main connector is a direct connect from a 2003 to an HK unit. The only thing that will not work is the AVC. That cam be reprogrammed by Iron Cross Audio if you need it. All handlebar controlls, power, ground, and speakers will match up fine

My dewalt radio just went blank it doesnt even light up when knob is turned but it is still charging the batteries

If you use your radio at work it could be exposed to dirt and dust and more! Could just need a good cleaning, drywall dust is terrible on electronics!

Harmon/Karden 2006 Radio/CB/CD Passanger control does not work

The passenger controls on the rear speakers are pretty easy to diagnose.  The wire for Volume up is Pink/white, the volume down is gray/white.  If the Pink/white wire is shorted to ground somewhere, then as soon as you turn on the radio, it will be like having the volume selector pushed up, and it makes sense how you describe it goes to mute and then returns to full volume as soon as you let go.   You don't say what model it is (I doubt it's a Road Glide, gotta be an Ultra), so it's not too hard to get at.  Pull the outer fairing and look on the back of the HK Radio.  There are 2 big connectors, when looking from the front you want the connector on the right.  Pin 23 is down volume, pin 34 is up volume for the rear controls ONLY.  So I would check the continuity to ground at pin 34 first, in other words pull the connector off the back of the radio, take a test lead and hook one end to +12v. Touch the tip to any grounded metal and it should light.  Now touch the tip to pin 34 on the harness side of the connector.  If the test light lights up, you have a short to ground on the pink/white wire.  Now go to the right rear speaker on the tour-pak and disconnect the 6 pin connector and try the test again.  The pink/white goes from pin 34 on the radio and runs through the harness to the passenger controls and nowhere else.  It shouldn't be grounded anywhere.  Let me know what you find out.

LCD display has gradually disappeared, now I have nothing. I have had this problem with other sangean products. Is there something that can be repaired? If so where can I send it for repair? Please...

This is a defect in the radio. Reportedly this issue was resolved in later vamps of production, but it still seemed to persist. We discontinued this model due to this exact reason. At this time there is no other solution and the factory can not tell us what the problem was and simply pointed to the LCD.
