Preamp/Processor missing menus/options for DTS

The setup menus / options are not appearing as detailed in the manual. When I play a movie recorded in Dolby Digital, it works fine but not with a movie recorded in DTS, it is not recognized. Could the software have been changed?

Solved the recognition of DTS signal issue but the DTS options/settings in the menus are still not appearing - believe the previous owner may have upgraded the software. The solution for the DTS signal recognition was an output setting on the DVD (blu-ray) player - digital output vs analog.

How to record

This is the Amplifiers & Preamps section. You can't record with just an amp or preamp. You need some kind of a recorder. If you have a laptop, it probably has a built in microphone. This provides the simplest modern way to get sound recorded as a file. You can also record from the microphone input on the side of a laptop, or on a desktop computer. Without knowing what equipment you have I cant offer any more detail. Audacity, a free program, might be useful. Google it.

I get no sound from my nad t175 preamp connected to a nad t973 (7 ch.) regardless of the media - rca, hdmi, et al. The fuse in the amp is fine, all the lights are working. Regarding the t175 i can see...

Possible that the amplifier has tripped and so gone to a protection mode. Remove power for few hours, press down all panel switches to drain off voltage from the processor. Also check for any short on the speakers before it is powered on.

Rotel processor bypass for Audio Research SP10

If I understand you, the 'sound' of the AR preamp is what you're trying to preserve. Presumably you're just running a phono through it as nothing else needs a preamp these days.

The multichannel inputs bypass all of the Rotel's processing except the volume. Use the Front L and R.

Behringer MX 3242x Mic input not working

Unfortunately, the way the mic preamp and gain control are surface mount components on the PCBoard, it's unlikely you'll be able to do it yourself. Best take it to an authorized Mackie repair shop, or send it back to Mackie.

I am missing a conponant.

Hi tina, sound like you are missing a preamp or mixer part to your setup. What brand is the equipment please, I will try to find the exact model of what you require.

OR you could just plug a preamp in line...

well the mixer is optimal way if you are planning to buy another one sometime but if you are to have only one then you need a corrector which changes the signal (preamp)
just ask for a corrector and say your problem in any tech-shop they will help you..
