How to replace door seal on washing machine Bosch Advantixx ?

How to Replace the Door Seal on a Washing Machine - Bosch
One of the most common faults of a leaking washing machine is a faulty seal. Thankfully replacing such a component of your washing machine is not a difficult task.
In the above video, with the help of our experienced team, we explain how to replace the washing machine door seal, and below we've compiled a simple step-by-step guide which takes you through every point covered in our video.
Step 1: To remove the door seal on any make and model of washing machine, you'll need to remove the entire front panel, followed by the soap dispenser and fascia.
Removing the panel and fascia is easy to do, once you've undone the screws holding it in place, whilst the soap dispenser should just clip out of place.
Step 2: With these components removed, clip away the kick plate, put the drain hose to one side before removing the retaining clip which holds the door seal against the front of the machine. Once the clip has been removed just push the seal inside.
Step 3: Undo the four remaining screws holding the front of the machine on, before pulling the front of the machine and the door away from the machine.
Once the front of the machine is off, you should be able to see the spring retaining band going all the way around thedrum. This should be easy to pull off, enabling you to peal the whole old seal away; once you've removed the old seal this can be thrown away, although it is advisable to keep the retaining band, as this can be reused with the new seal.
Step 4: You'll now be ready to attach the new seal, when doing so make sure that the drain holes are positioned at six o'clock; once you've done this it is just a case of working the new seal onto the drum.
With the seal worked onto the drum, put the retaining spring into its little ridge, before giving the seal one final check.
Step 5: Reattach all the parts back to your washing machine, attaching the door seal to the front of the machine ensuring that it goes over the lip, before attaching the retaining band on the bottom and sides.
There you have it, a step-by-step guide to replacing the door seal on a washing machine, helping it to perform to its optimum level.

Need to replace drivers side rear view mirror, powered. I have the new mirror, just need to know how t install it.

Hi,
You remove the door panel on the inside and it is bolted on from the inside. One wire clip and 3 bolts. Takes longer to remove and replace the door panel than replace the mirror....look for a hidden screw under the armrest , under the window/door lock button panel and sometimes behind the reflector or light on the bottom of door..Usually there are 3-4 screws and then the rest of the panel is held on by plastic clips. Get the screws out, then work a flat screwdriver or putty knife around the sides and bottom of panel, then lift upwards to get the top sealing side out of the track where the window runs.....Mike

The rear bumper to the caravan is it held on by Christmas Tree Clips Or Screws?

There are 2 screws located behind the rear wheel on both side. (Phillips screws)
There are also 2 screws located under the rear door.
And the bottom of the bumper is held on using push in plastic clips. Unless you want to purchase new clips I would suggest purchasing a door clip removal tool.
Once the screws and the 4 clips are removed from under the cover it will slide outwards from the rear.
Thanks, Dorrian

Install drip molding and weatherstripping on 2006 F150 supercrew on passenger side cab

If you are referring to the door seal, it is pretty easy.

1. Remove the plastic tread on the door sill. This is held down with 3 spring clips. Use a plastic interior tool, or a plastic putty knife.

Here are the locations of the 3 spring clips on the back

2. Remove the old seal by pulling off. Take note of the direction of the seal, and the starting location ( shown above, and below ).

The direction of the seal should show which side is out, and which side is in, double check it, to make sure they did not send you a driver's side on accident.
Putting the new seal back on is easy, I just hit it on with the palm of my hand ( with a sail makers palm on that is, no more nerve damage for me ). Do not stretch the seal, it is almost a case of pushing it together tight ( opposite of stretching ) while putting it on. Any little bit of stretch, and you will have too much length, and the door might leak.
Make sure the seal is at least 60* while working on it ( pliable ), I did the R&R for a project when it was 80* out, and it went smooth.

Hope this is the item you were looking for.

Hotpoint WF340 washer machine. I have noticed the rubber seal just as you open the door has gathered water and now begins to smell, can you tell be if i can replace it, how much the part would be and how...

the door seal can be changed from the out side of the washer but its a devel of a job to do
its held on by 2 spring clips, one around the outer door seal you hook this off then you fold the seal inside out and the other spring is on the inner drum
to fit a new door seal first turn it inside out and clip the sealing spring over the inner drum, them pull the door seal over the outer caseing and put the spring round that bit,,,
net easy i sead!!!
if i were you if the old door seal is not leaking leave it be,,, just clean it up with a drop of bleach it should have drain holes in it have a look to see of there not blocked up, when ever its washing it should get flushed out every wash,, unless its blocked up,,,

I need to replace the seal round the door but cannot remove the old one

Take the top panel off by removing the two screws underneath the lid at the rear and look down inside towards the front door edge of the drum you will see a very large metal hose clips holds the door seal on. A screwdriver will loosen the clip then the clip will slip off and then the seal can be removed and replaced

Zanussi fjr1454w door seal change.

with both clips,< locking rings > removed seal it is removable by just working it off the drum slowly,< there is overflow tube in front bottom side to disconnect also>. It is very important when installing new one that you put it in the same positiont as old one and lock rings go on same as well.

Refrigerater DOORSEAL

some door seals are held on by screws others slip around a lip depends on the model. If you gently pull the old one away and it comes off then you have a lip if not you should see the screws. You can heat the new seal in warm water or use a blow dryer be careful not to melt it, heat just enough to make it supple it'll be easier to work with. It can be a bit of a tedious job. Good luck.
