Question about Dryers

Open Question

I have a Frigidaire AEQ6000ES2 electric dryer. It was working fine and then I moved maybe 40 miles away. When I got it in the new place it would not work. No lights on the front and no light when door open. Breaker was not tripped. I still reset it. I have 250 at the wall and through the cord into the dryer. All switches have continuity. Still no lights. Also there is power going into the board. So I replaced the board today and this thing still didn't work. How do you test the user interface board? Any suggestions would be great.

SOURCE: My Frigidaire Dryer (AEQ6000ES2) won't heat. Did

I am not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. Therefore the dryer ID doesn't mean
anything to me. Over the years, I haven't had much trouble with my dryers. The E56 error code means high motor current. To help you find out why, I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good trouble shooting and repair information on dryers and other appliances. I think you'll find what you need there. You can probably verify the meaning of the error code there. Good luck with it. If I have helped you, please rate my advice on fixya.

I can't remember ever seeing a light inside my dryer, but my husband thinks we need a new bulb.

Hello Michelle, thank you for your inquiry!
I understand that you are unsure if your Frigidaire dryer, AEQ6000ES2, has a light inside of it. I have researched your dryer and it does have a light inside of it. The part number for the light is 131843500. Unfortunately there are not instructions on how to replace the light. We would recommend contacting a professional technician for proper repair and replacement of the light bulb. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

Why can't I get my new control board for my Frigidaire affinity dryer to work?

Hey tim bryant, thanks for your post!
I understand that you have installed a new board inside of your Frigidaire dryer, AEQ6000ES2, and on the new board the lights blink. I would recommend a reset on your appliance which can be done by disconnecting the power to it for roughly ten minutes. If that step does not correct the issue I would seek professional assistance for the repair of your dryer. I hope that is helpful. -Matt

Frigidaire affinity dryer problem

the thermistor in air outlet duct is very common for these. with front panel off find plastic duct from blower at bottom. pull out thermistor and look at inner side. it has triangular shape and if you can see shiny redish color at tip instead of all black then its worn. this causes numerous heat and control issues.

My Frigidaire Electric Dryer keeps giving an error code

If your dryer is the same or similar to mine (Model AEQ6000ES2) then error E68 is a stuck key on the keypad. This may be mechanically stuck or the membrane contacts. The simple solution is to replace the keypad.
I found this information by searching for "Frigidaire Model AEQ6000ES2"
