A cutting sound like its interrupting or more like a high Pitch sound more like squeeking?
*if its interrupting, you might need to stop anything else whyle running your DVD (ie: internet, downloading, uploading, or anything else means your memory is being used with something else.
*if its high pitch or squeeking, check your microphone's Volume from your volume options by double clicking on your volume icon on your lower right side and either minimize or muteyour mic.

Sound on Matsui TV/DVD combi keeps cutting out, only when I play a DVD mind, it happens every ten minutes or so. Should I return it to the shop for a replacement?

if it is still under guarantee yes.
Otherwise you can check the fans to see if they work. It may be overheating.

Avic-n3 to play dvd while in motion

There are a few ways to do this. Most of them involve grounding the e-brake wire and uploading special software. www.avic411.com should have multiple posts that give you step by step directions.

Easy cap from xbox to computer - can hear sound but no picture

I've heard that DVD Rs don't play on Xboxs.  It used to be on the first generation Xbox would give you an error.  If you are getting sound and no pictures,  it's a good indication that the Xbox doesn't have the correct decoder to read the DVD even though playing store bought movies from it still works.
I think they did this to keep people from pirating games rendering home burned DVDs useless when played in the machine.

PC Input Cuts out after DVD starts playing

Try another DVD disk. If this does not work, then it is possible that the drivers became corrupt, or the drive, or the controller has gone defective.

You try uninstalling the drivers and the drive for the DVD drive, and then re-installing them back again.
