Question about Dell OptiPlex 170L PC Desktop
Well I am using optiplex 170L . ANd have bought a graphics card 256MB Sapphire R9550 but I couldnt find the AGP slot to install the card.
Here is the screenshot of where the AGP slot should be SO in here my question is that can I buy an AGP slot manually and will fit to the place?also will it work?
THis system uses 3 PCI slots so you would say to buy a graphics card supporting PCI slots right? But thats not the answer I want. Will buying an AGP slot solve this probelm? Its that I dont want to buy another PC or mother board. Any answers? Thanks in advance.
It is possible you can etheir find an agp of the appropriate generation for your video card and attempt to solder it into the board. Even then you will need to re-program the bios to recognize it. Would be very difficult to do though as you would need to know how to code the eprom in machine language.
