It is a common fault that the drain fails to work in most machines in a period of time and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged. Now remove the drain hose clamps and remove the drain pump/valve, clean the drain pump/valve, use back flushing to clear off all dirt. Now test using power to see if this works and can be simulated. When refitting, the hose must be tightened properly. If the pump/valve does not work even with power then it must be replaced. If there is intermittent power to the drain valve/pump then the program controller unit is a suspect.

Finally the washer must be placed with a tilt- use a spirit level- so that all water will drain to the outlet port and thereby there is no residual water remaining.

SOURCE: LG Tromm - WM2688HNM - Detergent dispenser full of water & some detergent after wash.

sounds like you have calcium build up, this happens alot with LG's. need to take out the dispenser and clean the calcium with industrial lime away, that only works good for me, but others will do, also use a sharp object, like a ice pick or finishing nail, to scrape off any left over hard residue.
the calcium will clog all the holes in the dispenser.

if this doesn't solve your problem, then there is one thing left
just email me and ill give you the other solution.....

SOURCE: lg tromm front loader washing machine display panel reading l-E.

error code 'IE' means water does not enter the detergent drawer..if your water is hard or contains traces of lime deposits, the water inlet filter may become clogged..regular cleaning is suggested..clean the filter using hard bristle brush..

note: hard water is the one not undergone any treatment..in other words it is directly from the ground through your water pump and to the washer.

LG Tromm WM2233HW- Problem with oily residue on clothes

Use warm water and powdered detergent. Leave the door open in between cycles and it will be clean as a whistle in a week... Powdered detergent is HE also, don't believe the hype, stop wasting your money on useless chemicals to rinse away the garbage chemical soaps you are being ripped-off by... Hopefully, the liquid detergent hasn't corroded the washtub and drive shaft so badly it is oozing slime!

The problem with my top loder panasonic washing machine is clothes dont come out clean.the liquid detergevt that i use does not always dissolve during wash and asa result clothes stiil soapyz.there are...

If you have the user's manual for this machine, check to see that you are using the recommended detergent and the correct quantity of detergent. Some machines will actually fail mechanically from using the wrong type of detergent (such as using standard detergent in a high-efdficiency washer). The pH (softness/hardness) of your water also determines how thoroughly the detergent dissolves and rinses from clothes.

Panasonic (
Q2. Why are there black stains on clothes after washing?
A2.May be your washing machine is dirty due to the residual accumulated through times and need to be overhauled. The possibility is that, a build up caused by interaction of fabric softener and detergent which can flake off from washing machine tub and stains the clothes. Try to dilute and dissolve the softener before putting it into the machine to reduce such black stains.
Spotting can also be a reaction between detergent and fabric softener, a leaking washing machine transmission, or excessive deposits of detergent or fabric softener in the tub flaking off during the wash cycle.

Good luck from Detroit, MI, USA.

Clothes stink after washed in lg front loading machine

You may have already found a solution, but I had this exact same problem. I ran the tub clean cycle with bleach and then switched to a powder HE detergent. I found some other posts that said that liquid HE detergent has some thing in it that causes that smell and the tub build up (not sure what?). I was hesitant that that could really make a difference but it has. It has only been a week, but so far everything smells great. Definitely worth a try.

My LG TROM wash googd but dosn't want to spin

Check and see what type detergent you are using. I bought regular liquid detergent and the machine began making noise during the spin cycle and the drum would not spin. I was informed that you have to use detergent that is labeled HE (High Efficiency). The regular liquid detergent will suds up during the wash cycle which then causes the drum to slip and not spin during the spin cycle. What you are hearing during the spin cycle is the drum slipping. Unplug your washer for 30 minutes and let it reset. This lets the suds dry out. Run a cycle with no spin to rinse out the drum. This should eliminate your problem. If you have clothes in the machine, run a cycle with no spin, just don’t add any more detergent. Then run the normal cycle with spin a second time with no detergent. I hope this cures your problem.

LG TROMM - awful smell while washer is running

Use the aafesh tablets as instructed, this will clear hoses that have developed some mold, also inspect drain at the wall, these get moldy and as machine runs, smell comes out of there as well.

Liquid bleach tank WM2277HS

Liquid bleach tank? Do you mean the small container one puts fabric conditioner into for the final rinse?

They have a siphonic action. In normal use you put a small amount of liquid into the tank and when the machine starts the final rinse, water is added. Once above a certain level the siphon starts and empties the tank into the machine.

Take the drawer out of the machine, put it in the sink and slowly run water into the tank and you'll see that the level rises to a point then the tank empties.

So, perhaps you are adding too much bleach (or whatever) and the liquid is siphoning out before you even close the drawer.

Or do I misunderstand your problem completely?

Water in dispenser at end of wash cycle.....have checked the owners manual, troubleshooting area and cannot find anything that addresses this. Any ideas? Thanks, Bill

The cups work on a siphon so they will never be completely empty but check the level of the unit if there seems to be alot left in the cups. For the excessive suds, even if you're using HE detergent you are probably using too much. Don't put more then a tablespoon in per load. The suds may have come out of the clothes you were washing in that load too.
